Ouch, talk about production hell. Feel bad for the staff.

I know right? the production for this has not been going well at all.

It is becoming a lot more common within the industry lately. They really need to resolve it or else it will all crash and burn and the animators will probably suffer the most.

If you just feel bad only for the staff, remember - anime was in actual production for multiple years and was the first announced work of the newly created at that time studio ENGI, with trailers of it being ready back in 2019.

It's not just regular production hell at this point anymore - it's the deep dive straight to the bottom with every possible disaster through and through. And at the moment, it's better to call the names of those responsible for everything that happens - because except for the actual direct sabotage of the series production on the part of specific individuals, it is already impossible to explain what the hell is going on.

For those counting, that's a total of nine weeks of delays to get to episode 7.

I'm not even a fan of this series yet I know of the delays. I truly hope for the fans (and the production company's) sake this OVA series gets completed soon.

Kadokawa has always been terrible when it comes to how they handle the productions of their own IPs, but this one is just.... Jesus.

But then ENGI produced Uzaki-chan which is a hit so they've been putting alot of attention and budget on it.

In which world does Uzaki-chan "have a lot of attention and budget on it"? It's still a pretty mediocre production overall.
