I would imagine that we are probably not going to get another anime season, since this series is now approaching it's end as majority of publishing companies have no reason to if the series has concluded and no further promotion is needed.

I really like this series cause as far as isekai fantasy series go this one is more grounded and has a more direct realism approach how one would progress in the story and the sheer amount of detail in world building, political and social approach and more complex character development was a breath of fresh air both from reading and watching it.

If the author plans on any other new projects after this, i wish them the best as they are really talented.

The 3 anime seasons covers up to volume 7 of the LNs, so I guess a total of 14 seasons would be needed to cover the 33 LNs. Even if they green-light more seasons, I doubt we will see the end of it.

The author has a hell of a work ethic. The release rate of LN volumes is phenomenal, particularly given that once you make it into the third arc (i.e. just beyond the end of the anime adaptation) the web of characters and plotlines gets positively labyrinthine.

The LN series is genuinely great - the anime ends (and I don't think we'll see any more) before it gets to a lot of the best content. But I'm glad that it will actually be getting an ending. It's the kind of story that does need a conclusion, rather than running on and on forever.

I would disagree. The days of publish company owning all IP /releasing anime sake of driving manga sales old model. Production committee model allows commingled trans-media sales across multiple sales vectors. TOBOOKS is a small player in franchise. There is money on table for Ajia-do and all other parties to make.

EDIT: To add. Last heard, season four was getting green lit with no date yet announced.

Where is the source for this? You can’t say stuff like this without providing a source…

Season 3 was super rushed. I can’t imagine there’ll be any more seasons in the future. It’s a shame really as there are lots of good things that would have been great to see animated

Let me guess your source is either from so called leaks from either third party youtubers or low questionable first click on website from google search page and trust me those are F.A.K.E

Unless offically announced in the proper sites like ANN or MAL or Crunchroll/Funimation Website it is not confirmed.

Considering how many things are getting second seasons I would be more shocked if it didn't get more seasons. As the other poster said, the old business model seems to be dying

This is one of the better written isekai for sure, although it is too boring and I personally cant stand it.

My favourite isekai is getting to and end?? Ohh...

I really loved the anime and I hope they can continuing adapting it. I liked the first part of the manga, but I couldn't read the ligh novel as it was too slow for me... I wish this anime had more impact in the west too :_D

It would be nice if the anime was somehow able to adapt everything.

Shame the English releases are so far behind... though JNC is doing an admirable job getting them out at a speedy pace.

I'm curious, how much have you actually read? It definitely starts out slow, but it's a series where each arc -- each individual book, sometimes -- is significantly better than what came before. The anime hasn't even really started to adapt the good stuff yet, for example.

The author has been quoted (translated on Reddit, so YMMV) as having committed to an unrelated project to bookworm, but does continuing the story from other points of view after finishing the other project. If there was ever a project that needed down time, it would be bookworm; every volume has been better than the last.

From the Japanese side, I doubt we'll see another season. It could happen, sure, but it's unlikely given that the system is still in place, the anime IS a promotional material for the LN.
Now, when it comes to foreign investment, it is possible for a third party to want more seasons, such as Netflix or amazon, but that is all we should expect at this point. The heat is going to die down fast in the coming months for the final volume release, and there is little we can do to avoid the incoming sunset of Honzuki no Gekokujou.
At this point, I fear more for the continuation of the western releases than about getting a new anime season, honestly.

Way to put a massive spoiler as the cover for this article by showing the latest LN cover that was in the tweet lol At least redditors made sure to spoiler tag things for those reading the English releases.

Why do you guys keep saying this when it's clear that the production committees are currently scraping the bottom of the barrel looking for any projects they can animate? They didn't bring The Devil is a Part-Timer back until after the series concluded, for example, and it's already confirmed for another season. We have several series adapting decade-old manga right now, from Trigun to Urusei Yatsura to the final season of Bleach and the upcoming reboot of Rurouni Kenshin. What are they promoting?

Anime itself is becoming more and more profitable for the production committees and - while they definitely want to sell more of the source material - it's becoming fairly obvious that they're also mining the source material for existing IP that will sell well.
