Turned out to be a 6-week delay. Although not impossible for the movie to show outside of Japan before 2022 ends, only the United States is likely to get it given the timing. Even then, it will be very tight and they'll want it out together with the rest of the Christmas period releases, which means more competition. Above assumes the usual 2-month gap between Japan cinema screenings and a green-light for the rest of the world's distributors. The United States usually closes the gap faster because of its lucrative market, but if the first movie is any indication the earliest big holiday they can release this would be November Thanksgiving, one month after Japan's premiere.

For the rest of the world, airings will be at least after the home release is available in Japan. That's surely going to be 2023.
