After seeing the GK version, I no longer want to collect any Haruhi figurine in PVC.

I've already got the Revoltech Saber figure preordered, I just hope she's worth the price increase, about 500yen more than the others.

I agree. That figure of Haruhi with the guitar is simply a gorgeous piece of art. The creator who made that figure deserves a standing ovation for his work. Looks very expensive too, if it were to be sold, but worth it.
Lol. Yeah, I guess that's something that could garner a salute. |

Ya know, this article reminds me of the first ep. of Genshiken. I can so see some hopeless sops being mesmerized by those glorious panties. (Sweet jebus, get it out of my head!)
Kidding aside, nice article. The whole effort-gone-into-the-panties section gave me a good chuckle. |

I love toys, so this is a great column! Now if only that Haruhi figure wasn't so expensive..
![]() I have a question for you, Adam, and maybe this could even lead to a new segment in your column. I was wondering if you could offer any advice for taking care of your figures- maintainence tips. I have a problem that many of the anime figures I've purchased over the years (the nonposable ones, usually with a stand on a base) will warp over time with gravity. For instance, I had an Anthy figure that was very simple, with a small metal rod that ran through part of her legs and attatched to the base. Over time, she leaned farther and farther back- I'd try and bend her legs the other way, but I was afraid of breaking her. Eventually, she was leaning back at a full 45 degrees, and it just looked awful. Any advice for this problem? ^^ |

That's a nice Haruhi figure (nice panty shot too, lol). I think I just might consider buying it to add it to my super huge anime figure collection that includes only one figure.
![]() I must admit, that figure that dormcat mentioned is pretty nifty. I'd like it better if Haruhi were in her snazzy sailor suit though. I also like the pose of the figure featured in the article better as well. It seems to scream Haruhi a little more in my opinion. EDIT:
Hehe, go Cobra. Must be nice. Last edited by Jedi General on Tue Mar 27, 2007 12:33 pm; edited 1 time in total |

I have the Max Factory Haruhi preordered as well. I'll probably get it in May.

Great question, Jadress. As someone who has many, many toys in my collection from as far back as the 1970s (which, depending on how old you are, isn't all that far back I guess) I've had to deal with this problem myself. (I actually had a near freak-out last year over a piece I was particularly fond of.) Short answer: keep them out of the light and heat if you can help it, and rotate the items you have on display-- gravity will cause many items to sag with time. The long answer... well, I'll write that up in the next installment of Super Plastic. |

Two things I have to say about this column. First, as someone who has only recently started collecting anime PVCs, I am very happy to have something to read up on what's hot and new. Especially with all the great pictures. (I'm getting that Haruhi but, dormcat, you are right. That garage kit was a masterpiece. Also likely fragile as hell.)
Second, you dear writer have earned my eternal loyalty for the use of Cobra Commander for scale. Before anime, my big obsession was and still is the 3 3/4 inch G.I. Joes. Hope to see some other Joe and Cobra troops showing up in this column. Anyway, great work so far. Can't wait to see the next one! |

I'm lovin' the Haruhi statue. There's a lot of detail there and it's really cute. I also love that panty shot.
