Well this is unexpected. I remember liking the show when it came out, will be interesting to see how this will take shape.

"Overseas live-action project" is the last thing I expected to hear of this story about cute and shy highschoolers. And I wish it had remained that way.

Hmm this might be a project coming from Korea/China/SEA? I'm reluctant to call a Hollywood adaptation since they only go after the big money-makers.

This is almost certainly a Chinese/Taiwanese/Korean drama.

Isshukan Friends has very little market penetration in the west. Hollywood and the like would just remake 50 First Dates if they wanted something similar.

I love this series a lot so I wouldn't mind a Western take on the plot, but I think the anime and manga are perfect as they are so it's not necessary. I'm just happy to see it keep getting adapted!
