It'd be nice if this game comes stateside.
It'll be awful if this game sucks even worse than Dark Tournament... |

I remember reading on this site a new game was going to hit arcades in Japan from Namco. I sure wish that game would come to consoles. This looks a lot like Banpresto's last PS2 effort Yu Yu Hakusho Forever. While it was a really fun game, I hope they step it up a notch it terms of gameplay. It was too simplistic. That having been said, Kurama kicks all sorts of ass in that game.

Yeah, I think it is. I think Dark Tournament's biggest problem was that it was just dull and the story mode was too linear in that it forced to win in very specific ways for many of the fights. The game's battle mechanics were at least decent and it looked alright. So yes, it is more than possible to do worse than Dark Tournament. |

MMM an Inyusha game was announced for the DS. Another Naruto game was announced for the DS this time a 3D fighter that looks like it could have come out for the PS2.
D-Gray Man is also going on the DS. Death Note as well. The DS is becoming the console for Anime games in Japan it appears. http://www.gamespot.com/ds/rpg/fullmetalalchemistds/news.html?sid=6161058 is a preview of the English build of the Fullmetal Alchemist game for the DS released in Japan in December of 2004 |

Death Note? I love that manga, but what could they possibly make the game be about? Interactive fiction, like Phoenix Wright...? |

I'm thinking something similar to Elite Beat Agents, but with Shinigami instead of men in black suits. Imagine Ryuk jumping around cheering Light on during his mental/verbal sparring with L |

http://www.konami.jp/gs/game/deathnote/game.html It's all Kanji to me but it does have some screenshots and a game trailer. There are also a number of semi dating sims coming to the DS that are basically an animated book. Wish I could remember where I found the screenshots and descriptions of the games but they were apparanetly popular mangas in Japan. http://blackjack.sega.jp/ should be obvious what Manga/Anime this is. |

i love how that page just messed up my mind with the ? at the top. What happened to ka? i'm just a beginner so there may be an answer to this somewhere later on. I'd like to play a Deathnote game! You write people's names on the DS and then they die. Sounds...fun? as for YuYU Hakusho...i don't see that coming to the states. Which is sad because i would have liked to play it! |

Thanks for the link. The trailer looked pretty cool. This sounds like a game I'll have to watch as it progresses. As imaginative and interesting as the DN manga is, I'm sure the game will introduce some kind of neat concept. |

This game actually looks really cool. I've been scanning the monthly updates of it from Vjump for the past 6 months. You can check out last months scans on my site: http://www.deathgod.org/hatter/vjumpscans/

As for the console bit, that isn't usually quite as important there. They're still releasing games in Japan for the Dreamcast, for example. |
