they really won't lay this story to rest will they? I mean you still regularly hear about Death Note so long after the original manga finished serialization. That's crazy. Does the author write anything else?

I like the first half of Death Note but the second half; not so much.
I didn't like N that much and it seems this sequel story is going to have him as the focus. I did like Bakuman which was also done by this author. Bakuman is great |

I'm curious to see what, if anything, this turns out to be. I enjoyed DN quite a bit back in the day and even with its lesser second half, it still provided some interesting moments and memorable characters.
