Been reading it, the manga even has the full on recipe(s) right at the end in case you can't guess if from the cooking shown in the chapter. It's pretty nice, like danberu without the fanservice and without the jokes.

Yes, this is a great story. If you are a food fan, like me, it is really good how it shows the prep and finished meals. It makes you want to try the foods it shows, which are by no means all Japanese ... not even close.

The very first recipe is outright a bocata de jamón! Wih bread cut in a weird way but one nonetheless.

In some cases, getting a live action adaptation is much easier, especially if you want to get a wider audience. For example, most shoujo manga get just such an adaptation, since female-focused TV drama has fewer risks than shoujo anime.
