LOTS of news items today; well this is great news for me, since I have yet to see it. I hope they do another Miyazaki/Anime marathon soon, or at the least show a movie of the animated genre from Japan.

Look forward to this. I just WISH TCM would do the Studio Ghibli run again. That was just too great. Glad to see TCM throwing in classic anime on occassions like this.

Remember Sept 16 (12am) Encore is doing SteamBoy

Yea I think that everyone thats ever seen this movie can agree it's a pritty sad film and it's great to see that it's beeing reccognized as a classic because it is a great film wich is why I emailed ANN when I found it (thats right it was me). I just half to hope that it also shows on their canadian channel I also really hope that it's the japanese with english subtitles version that they are going to air and dose anyone else find it ironic that I found this out just when I was about to suggest the film to them.

o_O Is Grave of the Fire Flies really that old? I never watched TCM before, but I thought they show old westerner cowboy shows or something....

btw, for those who haven’t watched the show… It’s a great show and all, but it’s really sad. I never watched the Live Action, but the anime is one of the only two animes I ever watched that actully made me cry.

The anime came out in 1988 and not everything they show is old considering they've shown spirited away also.
