Thanks to japanese business practices we have no idea if uran asked for this manga to get cancelled so he can go back to make echi manga about elementary schoolers; or if he just accepted his manga to get cancelled so he is forced to make echi manga of older characters.

Sigh...I'm disappointed it's ending after such a short run since I was really enjoying it. Uran's last series (Paradise of Innocence) ran for years and years. I guess main lead female protagonists in a ecchi harem comedy don't sell as well as male leads

What's funny is that the Paradise to Rabbit transition moved from elementary to middle schoolers that still look like elementary schoolers.
If she is forced to age up her characters in the next work we can only hope it moves from middle schoolers that look like elementary schoolers to high schoolers that look like middle schoolers (that look like elementary schoolers.)

Unfortunately the self insert fantasy is still going strong. The main reason generic MC's and isekai have had such a huge impact over the years.

Do you think this manga is extremely problematic by Japanese standards? Lol, this is not the most risky work of Uran, in her portfolio there are already many works with the sexualization of pedophilia, intimate interaction between younger teenagers and God knows what else. This woman is quite widely known in ecchi and hentai circles, and I have never heard any media call her work problematic, despite the often highly controversial content.
