The ninja beat-down continues on Naruto, featuring the culmination of the grand sibling rivalry between Hinata and Neji Hyuuga. The outcome becomes possibly fatal, however, as Neji refuses to relent his assault and Hinata refuses to take the loss, despite the overwhelming odds. My sister and I, our worst squabbles were fought with Street Fighter II and paper-rock-scissors. I'm sure if we knew ninjitsu things would've been quite similar.

Actually, Neji and Hinata are cousins. Smile Just wanted to point that out.

I'd like to point out that YTV has started to air new episodes of Naruto again. Although, their episode page for Naruto hasn't been updated in a while. Episode 41 is scheduled to air on Friday.

Bleach: Will people actually watch Bleach? I suppose the correct answer is probably something along the lines of, “no duh,” but seriously: Adult Swim's anime ratings have been remarkably inconsistent as of late, and while brisk DVD sales are all but assured, the actual numbers of eyeballs on the screen sure isn't.

I will be watching. I think nielsen needs to hire more families.

[IGPX]Do I know what goes on in this episode? Does anybody? No, but watch it anyway. All of the recent episodes have been an absolute blast, and simple statistics show that this trend of goodness will continue unabated. Being that this is the penultimate episode, as well, one can expect Team Satomi's trip to the IGPX finals to end on quite an inauspicious cliffhanger. Again, trusting statistics to be accurate, anyway.

Right on, again I make reference to the nielson families. The only gripe I will make however did occur during last nights episode. After they won the race, the voice acting was horrible. Just for that little five minute section though. It sounded like someone was holding a gun to there head and telling them to act excited. But then the acting went back to normal and things went better. I feel sorry for those Toonami guys. It does deserve better.

I was thinking that maybe the reason the acting went down hill is that, maybe they found out they were being moved to midnight fridays that day so they didn't do a good job that day. Either way I am not going to miss these last two.

Oh yeah, and of course the rocket was brilliant.

Inuyasha Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler
(Cartoon Network)
Saturday August 12 11:00pm (Repeats Sun Aug 13 2:00am)

Or, as an amusing Adult Swim commercial “bump” phrased it, “Inuyasha the Movie 3: The Story of My Baby's Daddy.”

I was hella laughing when I first saw this bump. Anyways, I have the first four movies and this is something I'll probably skip considering I'll probably be working, and if I don't, I guess I'll take your advice and read a book... a manga book!

I think the FUNimation Channel's doing quite well for themselves. They're on locally in Los Angeles (for those with a digital tuner), and they have a syndicated block which airs on the basic platform of a national television service.

Episode 62 "Impact of the V! Very Melon!"

I'm fairly certain if Viz decided to simply leave the episode titles in Japanese, they would make more sense than whatever gobbledygook nonsense I'm looking at right now. “Very Melon”? I'm not sure I want “very melon.”

Very Melon was part of the original title. And it makes equally no sense there as it does in english. Even the creator is kinda iffy on what he was thinking when he made it up. Probably involves the character being a V or something.

YTV's site gives no clear indication on what's next. So some still have no clue what is going on. I would still place a bet that a new episode will play next.

The “moe”-tastic Pretty Cure, and another Yu-Gi-Oh spinoff.

Not that I particularly care, I thought there was only one spin off and that was GX.

I didn't see Eureka Seven, is it not on this week?

I suspected that was the case. Is the 1am slot a permanent move?

I want to recommend that Brian start mentioning the Funimation Syndicated block that airs 10PM to 12AM Eastern on "Colours TV." It might help those Nielsen ratings if we can get more eyeballs on the tube.

Here's a link that will help you find if you get a channel carrying Funimation's syndicated block:

http://www1.funimationchannel.com/index.cfm?page=get

They're showing:
Mon-Fri: Kodocha, Case Closed, Galaxy Railways, and Spiral
Sat-Sun: Tenchi Muyo GXP, KiddyGrade, Blue Gender, and Baki the Grappler
