Nice to see that this is finally coming out but not happy on who is releasing it.

What don't you like about Funimation? I couldn't care either way, (not familiar with the series) but I was just curious... ^_^

Have to say that I'm not versed on Robotech. The trailer looks very interesting, so I look forward to see it

Transformers kills me! I used to love that as a kid... that and Fraggle Rock. Damn, I miss those funky fraggles... what exactly IS a fraggle, anyway..? Not that that has anything to do with anything...

I for one am extremely excited about the fact that Funi is releasing it. Can't wait to check it out since I am a big fan of Robotech and Macross in general.

I'm somewhat curious. While I've had mixed feelings over this whole "continueing Robotech" concept being a Macross fan an all. I'm somewhat interested to see if this lives up to the hype. Hopefully they didn't CG it to death like the trailers suggest. They seem to give the impression that people want guady CGI sticking its thumb out all over the place.

At least this means the preview panels at cons can finally end. I wasn't too pleased with the rep at the SacAnime one.

Well the characters are hand-drawn. What I have seen of it looks pretty cool.

There was an awesome panel for this at Comic Con this year.

I personally never liked how they handled their releases.Plus their dubs in my opnion are average at best.

Well, Funi is only distributing Shadow Chronicles. Harmony Gold was responsible for the actual production and the voice-acting and whatnot. I'd say chances are if you liked the voices in the original Robotech, you probably won't be disappointed with SC, since it's by and large the same people (and that Luke Skywalker guy).

Mark Hamill is AWESOME!!! Does really great voice work. The SC cast is not the Funimation cast so you shouldn't worry if that is the case. I was at the SDCC panel and it was a good time. Everyone seemed really excited.

Regardless of whether one enjoys dubs or not, every single one of their properties have been released bilingual and completely uncut...and at a great price (Fruits Basket anyone?) with a satisfying amount of extras. What's wrong with that?

Can you specify exactly what about the way they "handle" their releases you dislike? Or are you just one of those anti-fanboys who will always be filled with irrational hatred for them due to their treatment of the DBZ dub?

Funimation has vastly improved with their releases and the quality of their dubs in recent years. So I don't agree with that sentiment.

But as it's already been said, Funimation is only distributing this movie.
