This'd usually speaks well regarding the overall reception for an anime in particular if it were to obtain a nendorid based merchandise, right? If that's so, glad to know Sora Yori isn't being forgotten. The blu ray sold at least above 10k as well, which is quite an achievement. I think the recognition regarding this masterful anime is slowly fading away in the international community, which is seriously saddening, and even around the local anime fans around here, Sora Yori was barely known, meanwhile Darling in the Franxx is getting all the praise it could get. It seems just because it featured all girls as main characters and have no male protagonist or even a romantic love story as part of the storyline, it's just so easy for it to be ignored around here in my country, and to a lesser extend, perhaps in the internet too.

I thought much of the reason Darling in the Franxx got so much attention was in part to do being made by TRIGGER, the other part that one episode that got some angry, and lastly the second half the series going downhill in such a crazy way. So being known mostly for the wrong reasons.
. . . . . . . .
Anyway, even though A Place Further than the Universe came out early this year it feels like I have not seen that show in a few years. It's a bit sad to hear people are forgetting about it if what you two are saying is true. On another note I am still waiting for the day I can finally own the show on DVD or blue ray.
Oh and the two figures look nice by the way. I like that they remember Shirase getting that note stuck on her face whenever she is useless.

It was a good show. Actually, I'm pleasantly surprised the series' characters are getting any attention at all. It always seems like the higher plane shows get shorted on merchandise aimed at sitting in display cases with other favored scaled figurines. Nendoroid figures don't kill the wallet like PVC can; bravo, that. Wish all 4 explorers got equal representation though.

On the contrary, now all-female shows are quickly becoming popular if they are sincere enough and have almost no fan service. Earlier, I would hardly believed that chaste shows like Yuru Camp will attract as much attention in the media as shipping \ fancervice-driven shows like Love Live.

I know something about that Shirase Nendoroid figure that will grind the gears of everyone who watched the anime's penultimate episode.
*looks at a pic of a crying Shirase holding a certain laptop* "Why would they even do this?"
