Literally all I can think of when reading this is this, which I...honestly never thought would be relevant again, but here we are.

So this is the song playing over those NBA commercials? I thought I misheard it the first time; guess I was right.

Is there a master list of rap and hip hop songs that reference anime? Because I honestly didn't know Childish Gambino or Chance the Rapper referenced anime in their music!

The Genius link at the bottom has a pretty extensive list of just Dragon Ball references in rap songs but I'm not sure if anyone's tried to track down all anime references.

Lupe Fiasco also references anime and video games. "Lupe stay Lupe like Lupin the IIIrd" etc. Lupin's a real gangsta! Not like these mainstream DBZ references. Real rappers got a larger library of classy anime to choose from. |

But it doesn't include the line "I did what I'm suppose to. While you was locked up, ninja's had you draggin' ballz like Goku." |
