You mean they released it for the PC Engine CD in Japan, which was a game console that was released in North America as the TurboGrafx-16, and not on PC, which would imply they released it for computers, rather than a game console.
I wonder if Symphony of the Night will have a Japanese audio option? Will it use the original English dub from 21 years ago? Will it use the new English dub from the PSP version?

Hopefully they give us a choice. I like hearing both sometimes. I even wouldn't mind if they redubbed it with the TV series voices since it's literally coming out the same day as Season 2.

I originally played Symphony of the Night on the PS1 back in the late 90s. I played the Japanese PS1 version via an English fan translation from throughhim413 about 4-5 years ago on a PS1 emulator on my computer. Then a little over a year ago, I purchased the Sega Saturn port, but I haven't gotten around to playing it. Sadly, it sounds like the Saturn port has technical issues. It does have some extra features not present in the PS1 version, but most of them are pretty out of place from what I've heard. I also own Dracula X Chronicles on the PSP, but I never played SOTN or Rondo of Blood on it.

Technically, in North America, it would have been for the TurboGrafx-CD and/or TurboDuo, since Rondo required the TurboGrafx-16's CD-ROM add-on to function.
Regardless, I think the PSP versions of Rondo and SotN are what we're going to see.
Now that this and all the other rumors surrounding a "new" Castlevania game have come true, it'll be interesting to see what comes next. The "collection" was supposed to be one game, but there was rumored to be another in the works beyond this.

The question now remains: Will SotN be excluded from the Ps1 classic mini?

No worries. You were definitely on the right track, and I actually probably should apologize for likely coming off as too blunt there. I was just trying to clarify things further. (I myself have often said TurboGrafx-16, and it seems like a lot of media outlets say this as well, to the point where I sometimes get confused. I mean, if we're getting super technical, in Japan, it was for the PC Engine Super CD-ROM2. I think that's where the confusion comes from, because often it's just said it was for the PC Engine in Japan, and PC Engine in North America was simply TurboGrafx-16.)

Good question. Deep down, I can't imagine they would hold it back. That'd be like holding Super Castlevania IV off of the Super NES Classic. But maybe licenses will say otherwise. At the end of the day, I think the market for these two products will be different. I think PS1 Classic Mini is for lapsed Sony gamers, casual gamers, and collectors. This new collection, I think, is for Castlevania fans and also to attract new fans of Metroidvania-style games who haven't played SotN, or new Castlevania fans from Netflix who haven't played many if any entries at all.
