"Aww~" indeed! In a season ripe with cutenesss, i didn't expect a tiny, more or less silent and expressionless mummy to take the top spot. But Mii-kun is so damn adorable, i could watch him (and Sora & friends) do mundane stuff all day long.

I don't find Sanrio mascot cute, but Mii-kun, while not quite a Sanrio mascot definitely hits me in the feel, hard. I spend the time watching the episodes grinning to myself the whole time and my protective instinct activated.

^ So what you're saying is that Mii-kun is the new face of moe? I could live with that.
The most troubling moment of episode 2 was likening Mii-kun's wrappings to his skin. ::shudder::
Tazuki bears keeping a close eye on though. There's a budding psychopath hidden in there somewhere.

I thought nothing would be as cute as the Moyashimon microbes or the myriad of black cats in anime.
I have been proven wrong.

EP 3
Comedy spikes up thanks to Kaede and this applies to both the manga and anime

Mii-kun shrivelling up because of too much crying while being apart from Sora made my heart shrivel up a bit as well.
I'm looking forward to the other tiny creatures appearing, but i wonder where they are coming from? Did Sora's dad send all of them over somehow? Or does cuteness just naturally flock to him?!

Kaede is his aunt? I thought she might have been his onee-san.
I was just thinking to myself how much I liked Kaede when they dropped this absurd transformation scene on me. In a show populated with little Egyptian mummies, I guess personality-transforming glasses might exist, but I don't really see the need for stuff like that in this show. It's so charming that predator-Kaede seems really out of place.

^ That's what the review said, and though I didn't recall that reveal, I didn't bother to check where she got that idea either.
Episode 4 got off to a really rocky start with me, introducing a character with two things I abhor (the dreaded "outie" and snot-sucking) and topping it off with a tsundere little sister. So I guess it says quite a bit about how charming Conny is that I (mostly) was won over by the end. It helped that little sis wasn't nearly as obnoxious as I feared - I might even like her a little. I'm looking forward to more about the outcome of the Tazuki and the dragon story.
Conny's jealousy of the Mii doll and his fake snoring to avoid a bath was pretty cute. And I do like how his snarky personality (it's kind of impressive that they can convey snark so effectively with zero dialog) meshes with Tazuki's the same way Mii's empathy complements Sora's.

Heh, I read that as "This show is so cute it makes memes cry."

Sorry for the typeo. My spellchecker probably done it. I've meant to say
"This show is so cute it makes me cry. "

It's an indirect one. She didn't introduce herself as his aunt, but her relationship to Sora was revealed in the scene where Sora told her about the coffin. Then Kaede said thank you brother, which then makes her his father's younger sister, and therefore his aunt.

I suspect that Tazuki got that scar when he tried to help that little dragon without knowing enough about it. He doesn't seem to be afraid that Conny might hurt him but more that he might unintentionally get Conny hurt. But we all knew he wouldn't be able to resist the oni cuteness for very long, trauma or not. I also loved Tazuki imagining Conny as a very butch adult.
And yes, i definitely want to know more about this world now, especially how Sora's family is connected to the supernatural. Has it actually been mentioned what kind of profession Sora's dad has? I thought he was some kind of scientist but considering the latest developments, he might really be a priest or something along that line?

In a season with a lot of good anime, this is probably my favorite thing I'm watching. Mii-kun makes me "aww" out loud several times an episode. On the other hand, I'm sort of mad I can't have a pet mummy now, which is not a problem I ever thought I'd have.
