This is a series that could do so much with it's premise, instead Idea Factory doesn't nothing creative at all with it. And all the "jokes" are just lazy references, which I guess the writers think referencing something automatically makes a good joke.

"don't change what is selling" has been the logic for the series for a good while, the most experimentation was done in the early days and the company chose a niche of "intentional poor quality" as there course.

To be fair the levels and enemy's have always been repetitive in the Neptunia games, but i've always enjoyed them non-the-less. I'll pick this up but maybe not on launch (i'm still shifting through God Eater 2!)
On a side note yes i'd take a Neptunia fighter and kart game! Right now!

... Has this person actually played through an entire game of the Main neptunia games? like the original ps3 version of the games. Neptunia always had that repetitive dungeons and the monsters. what's funny was when I played Victory II and saw a new monster I was like" Holy crap a new monster". If I remember correctly in the original ps3 version, I don't think the mouths moved on the picture of the characters either.
lol, this is coming from me, a 6 1/2 year fan of the series that started out on the original PS3 version and is a girl. What made me love the series was it's silliness and it's parodies and the characters. yes the series has it's flaws, but come on. well atleast they aren't someone that's bashes the series fanservice and calling it a piece of hentai trash.

nope, even original ps3 nep had mouth movement. Whats even weirder is that megatagmension nep + blanc vs. zombies (also tamsoft) had mouth movement on vita... too much effort on top of moving to unreal engine 4 maybe?
its disappointing and odd, but not a deal breaker for me. I'm an exception that owns every game, has platinumed over half of them, and has gotten every limited edition since VII though... I also speedrun the ps3 games and 1 or 2 others >_> . I expect there are people that liked just 1 or 2 of the games that might not get this one, partially because of that.

The mainline ones from IF/Compile Heart are fun, but the ones farmed out to 3rd parties like the Noire turn-based RPG feel really phoned-in. The mechanics for it are very basic and felt like playing a NISA title like La Pucelle from 15+ years ago rather than something like Disgaea4/5. I feel it cheapens the franchise releasing all these shovelware games.
Disappointed to hear this seems somewhat mediocre as well on the heels of Nippon-ichi's Minecraft-alike Hakoniwa Company Works that flopped so badly it was 50% off on Amazon Japan in only like 6 weeks. Lots of 1-star reviews calling it a kuso-ge, etc.
