Those other times were just telling us the manga was entering the final arc, not when it was ending.

With the ending near there is even less of a chance a second season happening. Which is a bummer, the first season was good, reminded me of Gantz, without the over the top fantasy elements (demons and monsters).

Yeah, I'd love to see a 2nd season, but I'm not holding my breath either. His other series, La Vie En Doll (a magical girl action manga), had apparently finished August last year, and I didn't find out about it until today.

Man, I wish they had a 2nd season. I enjoyed Brittney Karbowski as Himiko and would like to hear her as Himiko again. Still, though that takes serious dedication for a manga-ka to have a series last over 25 volumes.
