Maybe he'll try to wrap up the story a little bit faster as a result.

Nah this has been happening for a while but he never kicked up the pacing. he's kinda like oda, hell take a break for like a week once in a while then come back ann just doesn't report on it. Since this is like a major announcement since its going to be multiple weeks then its bigger news.

You can joke about that but it wont be funny Sad. Im probably in the minority on this but i 100% prefer him to do the manga his way then to rush threw it, even if that means that he might not finish it. Plus the reread value is as amazing as One Piece cause it flows very nicely.

Meh not for me, after the sawamura fight the manga takes a turn for the worse, only takamura saves it for me after that. (Take Keiichi, Gedo, and that freaking Woli fight...)

it takes him so long to do just one fight that it will probably be at least a year before ippo's next one. (if there are no health problems)

takamura still has 4 more belts to get, and then there are also 2-3 more fights he will do before/after each one. So inbetween all the fights from other side characters it will be probably 2 more years of stalling before we see any meaningful progress on his side.

1st point: turn for the worse is subjective so ehh. I like takamuara so i can understand why. The fights you pick are just the generic ones that everyone calls bad and imo the take fight was good, (will never understand why people hate on it), gedos fight was okay ,i agree on the woli fight *Sigh* . And there have been plenty of good fights as well(Alfredo, randy boy jr, bison, scratch j, mike, Saeki) so if your going to point out the bad ones at least acknowledge the good ones as well. didn't include sawamura vs mashishiba cause im amusing thats the fight you're talking about.

2nd point: its been firmly established that ippo has slow pacing so complain now is just redundant. I guess since i like when he focuses on the side characters i dont mind. There are plenty of series that id kill for an author who actually takes time to develop its characters instead of jumping straight into the next fight. Although some of the comedy chapters are bad.

3rd point : This is were i feel like your lying to yourself when you say "Meh not for me" I can almost guarantee you'll be sad, If not for his death then for the fact that you'll never get to see takamuras conquest since he saves the series for you.

They aren't just generic ones... the reason they are picked is because they come after the great sawamura one.

I mean just think about this for a second... it took 15 years and like 800 chapters before ippo completed the new dempsey roll.

not sure how anyone could defend that horrible pacing.

that's not taking time to develop characters, that's dragging shit out because you don't have anything else. The characters are barely any different than they were 15-20 years ago in this manga
