No Babylon? Lol, no reason for me to play this then. Only needed the English version to better understand the story, but without that... I'll stick with the JP version.

Well, with GBF setting a precedent, people were hoping for a translation. Guess the disappointment was too great.

Well, at least Regend memes will resurface again and Jeanne will have her spotlight again.

Shiokawa clarified that there will be no technical issues with playing both the Japanese and English versions at the same time, adding, "but what we're trying to do with this localization is we want everyone to experience this game as it was experienced in Japan."

This makes no sense to me. No one really cares about that. They just want to play the game. Everyone's at their own pace anyway, so let them use their data. Literally no logically reason to not just simply have language options like Granblue does. Oh well. Granblue is a better game to begin with.

This is to try and attract newbies, hence why he said that they are considering creating a English patch for the jp server. And how is granblue better in your opinion? I've played it for awhile and the only thing it has going for it besides the English translation are the better pull rates and that's about it.

It's like comparing a 5-piece puzzle to a 500-piece one. Which one would you prefer? :V

yeah I know what your getting at, but i personally don't think that it is good; hence becoming curious as to what they liked about it.

I think it's because it's more complex? Fgo is a game for casuals, gbf is a game for addicts who like to compete. It depends on the person tbh, I got hooked right away on GBf when I started during the street fight event, but I still play fgo for waifus.

Keep playing the Japanese version then. I feel like this is the same thing that happens with all mobile games once they go global/other select territories. The new players sign up for this one and the veterans will still play their Japanese accounts. Some of the veterans will do it for the exclusive content. I personally stick with whatever account I make first. I think I explained it in an earlier post but I don't have enough cash to split between two accounts (I also don't like to limit myself to being "free-to-play" I don't see any fun in that) I find one game and I go all in on it until updates start to drop off or another game grabs my attention.

And they can. Nobody is trying to stop them from using their save data. If you were playing it already, then you are obviously fine with playing a non English version. Just keep doing that. They're even making sure you can have both installed in case you want to check out the localization without worrying about losing your save data.

No UBW video release, no FGO... Please kindly go to hell, Aniplex.

Wouldn't newbies be more likely to play with more content though? New players don't want to drag their heels through a game while they wait for content, they want loads of content to play through so they're not stuck waiting months for more. Mobage games are supposed to improve over time, and Grand Order had a notoriously poor launch. Recreating that is just madness that I feel stems from laziness (if it doesn't do very well, they can just pull the plug on the US version before finishing translating the story, or decide to machine translate the rest of the story if they're not already, rather than translate everything up to date and it terms out a turd).

Nothing about this strikes me as appealing to new players. I know some new players who are more interested in the later content, and won't pick it up until it reaches that point, so I'm not sure why I see this argument so often.
