Anime!Anime! is also reporting that the film will be streamed worldwide on Netflix on the same day.

Weird direction that the movie has taken...

As far as I remember, Blame! was far more contemplative than action like that... and with so many characters presented from start it doesn't reflect the solitude and emptyness of the original well.

But hey, if people like it, I don't see why not.

I'm always sceptcal of cgi anime, because so often it just looks atrocious and stilted (see the latest Cyborg 009 series for an example). But here it looks like they really put a level of polish on the whole production that actually makes it look really good! Character movement doesn't seem out of sync with camera movement (which is a big telling sign of bad cgi usage)

I'm excited now!
