$300 seemed steep at first, but if you consider that the Switch is effectively a handhold and a console combined it's effectively 2/3rds the price of both.
I'm looking forward to seeing what other games are available for launch.

- Reasonable enough price for a versatile console
- Versatility
- Fine launch date
- NO region locking
- Coming out along with Zelda
Yep I am expecting some strong sales for this console

Wonder why Nintendo decided to forgo region-locking the Switch.

And the fact that it has TWO functional controllers for a change instead of just one like most consoles.

PS4 and Xbox One both lack region locking, so it'd be weirder if they continued to stick with it at this point.

Mario Adventure
Fire Emblem Musou
Proper SquareEnix RPG
Xenoblade 2
No More Heroes 3
SMT V
Zelda
Splatoon 2
More than enough reason for me to get it.

$300 seems reasonable price but then I remember that I live in Canada so the price gonna be $399 for us. I don't think I'm buying this at launch but I'm definitely getting it when SMT launches. But god knows when thats gonna come out, I mean I'm still waiting for Persona 5 to get release here.

The pay online is the reason no region locking since they can make so much money from that

And Splatoon 2! I look forward to that more than Breath of the Wild, but I know some people who are plenty excited for Breath of the Wild.

I quite like how the Switch is deceptively simple. It looks like a Wii U GamePad...but then the two sides split off to become two Wii Remotes (only more advanced). I wonder if Nintendo brought that iPod designer guy over again.

Is that Shin Megami Tensei 5? It was a teaser trailer that only showed a bunch of the demons. In any case, whatever it is, I love that they've all been given 3-D models. It always felt jarring to me that they've been flat barely-moving artwork when everything else, including the humans in the overworld, is in 3-D.

It was already weird when they stuck with it for the WiiU even after the PS3 dropped it and had the 3DS retain it eventhough it's predecessor dropped it too.
Nintendo has a problem with consistency.

About time Nintendo decided to ditch region-locking for the Switch.
The only question left is, not sure if it will lure in hardcore gamers and more v-game developers once the specifications are out.

I didn´t expect this to be half a Wii, as this will make portable play a bit "challenging" but not all games will need to fit all styles, i guess. The 720p resolution of the portable display is great and but it apparently won´t replace the 3DS in the long run, due to the mediocre battery life. We will need a new Nintendo portable soon-ish though...The 3D is 6 years old!
The lack of region-lock is secretly the best feature and dat Mario 64/Sunshine sequel, hype. Will this be a mass market "appropriate" console, as the usual 64 and beyond problems can already be seen. Who knows, but let´s hope so. They desperately need a win in the console field, as i am fed up with keeping my Nintendo consoles in my cupboard for most of the year. The presentation itself was lastly just kind of "eh".
PS: No More Heroes 3 and a Unreal 4 SMT game? Faints. Xeno 3 needs a new art style though...

I see that as the biggest problem with the Nintendo Switch, actually. By trying to please both sides, they have put themselves between a rock and a hard place. So now you have a system that's not powerful enough to compete with the current consoles, and way too expensive to be a handheld. Given the announced lineup they have a chance to pull it off, but I don't know.
