I don't think they're ever going to end traffic accidents. Not while drunk driving continues to exist.

Maybe force everyone to ride those new computer-driven cars? Then again, there'll be way fewer accidents, but they won't be gone completely.

I have a foreboding feeling that computer-controlled vehicles could actually raise the potential for traffic accidents. All it takes is a few cars malfunctioning midway through traffic or at an intersection to bring about catastrophic results.

Currently, computer-driven cars have only made mistakes in the judgment of human motorists. And that one instance where one from Google mistook a hanging tree branch as a person.
