So does that mean we'll get to see this with subs on Amazon Prime in the US?

Because I would finally have a reason to actually use my Amazon Prime video. I just finished with the manga and thought it was pretty great (I liked Stepping on the Roses, which had a similar premise, a little bit better though).

Sweet, this I one drama version that I would really be interested in seeing and I already have Amazon Prime. I guess Amazon is expanding into Japanese dramas now?

So is he going to slap her multiple times in the drama as well? I also vaguely remember there was a time he got so angry, he dug his fingers into her injured knee and caused her to flinch. I could not continue reading the series past that point.

I think you'd need Japanese Amazon Prime (which is different from US Prime) to view this AND you'd need a VPN or something because they region lock their streaming content. I guess all I can hope for is maybe Dramafever or something can pick it up after its initial Amazon run? That would be nice...

[Spoilers are only for the first chapter since the description is a bit misleading]
Technically, spoiler[ guy's grandpa bullies both his grandson and the girl into the sham marriage by offering them what they want. And she's fired because she pours a drink on him. ] Guy is a jerk but it was an amusing read. They would be a couple that would drive me nuts if I knew them in real life though since they argue all the time.

The article doesn't specify if it's just Japan's Amazon Prime or "worldwide" like they did with the NoitaminA shows. Since they're recognizing anime now and they have a channel for K-dramas, I hope that they bother to offer more than just Japan. Otherwise, it's just annoying.

Dean Fujioka as Hokuto? Nice! I really liked him in Asa ga Kita and DameKoi.

I was hoping to see a live-action version of this series for a while now, so it's pretty nice to see it actually coming out soon.

So true! I love the art but the bad treatment of guys to the WOMEN in some of Maki Enjouji's mangas IS SO INSULTING! So enraging! Private Prince, Hapi Mari, the lead guys there are terrible! DROPPED reading them halfway... Ugh!

EVEN a male reader who just happen to try to read it even said that, his parents at least somehow taught him how to treat another human being, MORESO a GIRL, properly!

I know it's just manga, and such things are just for the sake of fun reading but it just made me angry.

You don't know how happy I am to have read your comment! My strong feelings towards feminism just ignites in my heart and I just can't help it but feel excited to reply to you...

No matter how much I love anime and manga, often times, they make me feel angry or sad, even enraged, because most Japanese anime and manga tend to be so, so sexist... Anime cry

I sometimes get involved in heated arguments with other fans, mostly shoujo manga fans, in forums, especially when it comes to gender equality or feminism... Truth is, I have always hated manga themes or stories always portraying female characters as weak, dependent, always thinking about boys all day, no self-confidence, no sense of self-worth, only when the boys they like praise them, and such.... They make me feel sad/ depressed...

I hate male leads who are abusive, either verbally, emotionally, sexually, especially in shoujo manga, and even physically at times... Male leads in anime and shoujo/ josei manga are almost always arrogant, abusive, dominant, not respectful....

I know, this is just manga, and those things are done for the sake of fun reading, but sometimes, it hurts, and the way the girls/ women are treated badly makes me angry... Making me drop the manga or anime...

And what baffles me is that, the mangakas or writers of those shoujo/ josei stories are ladies as well! I'm confused as to what message are they trying to portray to readers, which are girls, from teenage girls to adult women...

I think, perhaps other anime/ manga fans, might say I'm taking it seriously, but I just can't help it!♥ My strong FEELINGS TOWARDS GENDER EQUALITY TOWARDS WOMEN drives me to fight for our rights!!! Anime hyper

I'm just so worried and concerned for the other girls or readers of these shoujo/ josei mangas... I don't want them to think that those wrong form of cliche love so immensely advertised/ used in shoujo/josei manga is ROMANTIC. It is in no WAY romantic. It's simply abuse. It's NOT LOVE...

I just want to read something wherein the girls or WOMEN stand on EQUAL GROUND with the guys, NOT BELOW OR UNDER in any way...

We should always be strong, believe in ourselves. We should love our selves more. I know how it feels to be so much in love that you want to give everything to the guy but we should have something left for ourselves. We should be strong and independent and not rely on guys all the time...

Go girl power! We should all be EQUAL in rights, in everything! Go girl power! ♥
