Anyone have an exact count on how many different versions there are of Fly Me to the Moon? There have to be at least 10 different singers and remixes...

According to the liner notes for this volume, there are a total of 31 different versions if one counts all the variants used on Director's Cuts, Renewal versions, etc.

I prefer Frank Sinatra's rendition. But that's just me.

Wow...that's...a lot. I know for sure that the original DVD releases (before Director's Cut or Platinum) didn't have all of them intact. Of course, there are only a couple I think are as good as Sinatra's classic rendition. Thanks for the answer!

No matter who I hear singing "Fly Me To The Moon" I still visuallise Rai floating upside down in her whirlpool.

I cant say I've heard the neon evangelion dub version but I find in general for the reviews here the sub and dub get pretty similar scores even though I can't stand dubs.
Even the Cowbody Bebop dub ( which is supposed to very good ) made me want to gouge out my eardrums with a pocky stick. That's also one thing that pisses me off about a lot of the dvd's is that the terrible dub is in 5.1 and the sub is only in 2.1. After watching Black Lagoon fansubbed in 5.1, I went out and bought the DVDs even though they were in 2.1, and had dulled down the swearing in the subtitles, which is very much not true to the series. Thank God Geneon isnt releasing right now because they were the worst. Bandai ftw.
So far the only series i've seen with descent dubs are GITS:SAC and Flag.

Resurrecting a nearly 3-year-old thread just to complain about dub grades and comment about how much you hate dubs is rather classless, friend.
And just because you can't stand dubs enough to be objective about them doesn't mean that others can't.
