Still like that the Idolm@ster anime LE charts as a game not counting in the anime charts.

I don't normally pay attention to how well anime games like Haganai Portable do, so I'm not sure how well its doing compared to normal. But only doing about 9k/15% less than a Naruto game coming out the same week seems pretty good.

Well, the best selling VN adaption to an otaku anime I've seen is Oreimo. It did 90k first week. Haganai still did really good for an otaku game, though.

Thanks. I was looking for the OreImo numbers but I couldn't find them.

I'm curious how those Otaku games normally do though. OreImo's premise is aimed pretty much straight at the hearts of otaku and the show was one of the high sellers of the season and Haganai is also a pretty good seller (though only a bit over half of what OreImo did) and the novels were huge sellers even before the anime. I'm curious what's normal for otaku anime games like these. I would guess it would be more around the range of what the Nendoroid game sold.

Because the LE is published by Namco-Bandai and they are a game publisher not an anime publisher (well that part as least). Same thing happened with the Macross movies that came with a PS3 game.

Courtesy of searching neo-gaf

Media Create, Week 04 2011
Media Create, Week 05 2011 - second week it charted with numbers.

Media Create doesn't give sales numbers outside of top 20 and week 6 the game dropped below that.

60K for Haganai is pretty good. The Index game did about the same first week of sales and looks like that sold well enough to be getting a re-release (I have no clue how Japanese "greatest hits" games work in terms of number needed to be sold since a lot of games in Japan get a cheaper re-release).
