I love the two Full Metal Alchemist animes, but I felt the beginning bit was a bit rushed and the humour wasn't as strong as the original series.

Basically I want to know if there's an optimal episode viewing order between the series that'll go like this.

Brotherhood Episode 1 : Since it's original materia and a precursor to everything.

Full Metal Alchemist : Episode 1 through to spoiler[ Hughes' death.]

Brotherhood : spoiler[ Hughes' death onward.]

I'm just concerned that if I watched it like that I might miss something in Brotherhood... or plotpoints only present in FMA like the red stones might appear and confuse.

Any suggestions?

Hi Xirix, welcome to the forums. Smile

Someone else had the same question a couple of years ago. See if this old thread helps. Splicing the two Fullmetal Alchemist shows?

Enjoy your stay!
