If you're a member of www.adultswim.com , vote in their new poll asking what anime series you want to see on the air. The choices are:

- Gungrave
- Samurai Champloo
- Paranoia Agent
- Peace Maker Kurogane

http://boards.adultswim.com/adultswim

They SAY it's purely speculative, buuuuuuuut I don't believe that.

I'm somehow sure that Samurai Champloo is already locked in no mater what the results are.

Maybe. The results are currently Gungrave with an overwhelming 54%.

Champloo, unfortunately, has a stupid name. Hard for it to beat Gungrave, even though Champloo is excelent and Gungrave is @$#%.

I would like to think people are capable of looking past unusual names when it comes to stuff like this. Otherwise Cowboy Bebop would have never gotten off the ground in the US.

A lot of people already have an idea of what Gungrave is from the game on PS2. Not too many people no about champloo. It has a slight advantage there...

Would Gungrave be severly edited though if it was aired of Adult Swim? (I haven't seen it yet, but I thought it was very violent)

I think that they could get a big fan base such as bebop if they promote it as being created from the same person.

Exactly that is one of the big advantages this series has over the others...but also Gungrave was made by the creator of Trigun; Yasuhiro Nightow.

Gungrave has a lot of blood in it, so if it were aired on CN, everyone would be complaining about people butchering it so I hope that one isn't chosen even though its very good. I would think Peace Maker Kurogane would be more suitable for the Saturday night line-up because not that much editing would need to be done to it and since it is a very good show, I think some may see it and then stick around to watch some other stuff on Toonami. So, Samurai Champloo would be the best for Adult Swim.

The only one of those shows that I know much about is Samurai Champloo. Though I do like Kon, I'm most likely gonna but the Paranoia Agent DVDs...I'd I can find some money.

I love how little faith people have in Adult Swim, even after all the stuff they've gotten away with in terms of content recently. FLCL? The Animatrix? And they've promised uncut Full Metal Alchemist? Somehow I doubt Gungrave, or anything else on that list, would need to be "heavily edited" for broadcast on AS. Rolling Eyes

I've heard of Gungrave and Samurai Champloo, and if it came down to a choice of those 2, I'd probably pick Samurai Champloo. But, I'm not familiar with the other 2 titles. Anybody have any info, or a brief synopsis of them? Thanks.
