I've never seen an anime with so little information about it right before release. We still don't even know the studio!

The production company Cammot, which is also producing Maya Miyazaki's Holy Knight, had opened a website for the Gokujyo anime on Monday, just hours before the scheduled premiere. According to Cammot, LMD is animating.

From what I've seen, the staff seems very indecisive about this show. The show was originally planned for this Winter, then disappears, then reappeared last week, and is now postponed again.

While I'm not sure if starting with the second episode will hurt it or not since it's a comedy, things aren't looking too good for this show.

Sounds a lot like a last-minute censorship issue to me....

Sounds like the kind of censorship that a marketer is totally on board with.

So the whole first episode is not gonna be broadcasted at all? As in there will be no broadcaster other than this one that cancelled it? If so, why bother airing the series at all if no one's even gonna get to see the first ep? It would be no better than, say, jumping into episode 2 of Code Geass, for example. You'd have no idea what was going on other than some kid is abusing his powers.

The first manga issue is about a girl who comes to school and forgot to wear her panties, so she tries to steal another girls panties. I don't think we'll be missing much.

Seems that it'll be streamed online anyway.

LMD = Shouji Murahama's (Gonzo founder + the driving force behind their early productions, such as Blue Submarine No. 6, Gatekeepers, and Last Exile) company. Guess he never got the funding he was looking for.

Apparently shafts of light that cover almost the entire screen were not enough for the first episode of this one. Very Happy

Note from the article that the show is a series of shorts presented during a variety show, I don't think missing 3 minutes will greatly ruin any "plot" of the series.

This is what the anime industry needs. They should do much more of it. Total drama in the production process to the point where the actual show itself (or at least an episode of it) is cancelled. It feels very Avante-Garde, like when theatre troops started walking off the stage and involving the audience thus breaking down the barrier separating the stage from the spectator.

What if they didn't finish on time? So are they gonna show the 2nd episode without the 1st first?

MAL sheds a bit more light on it
