When I play my copy in Japanese the first half of the film has the center and right channels swaped. I'm mentioning this to anyone who has recently bought the US release of the RahXephon movie because it might not be apparent to those who have not listened to the Japanese audio who might also have this problem.

Well, I think the problem is: spoiler[ Since the first half of the movie is recap anyway, they probably just took the clips from the TV series and recycled them so they wouldn't have to spend extra money on re-animation and all that. And since the TV series was originally done in DD 2.0, that's probably why it sounded weird in the Japanese audio.] That's cheap from a quality standpoint, but it makes sense financially. Too bad. |
