I just saw this anime recently and thought it pretty lame. Yes there were a few good fight seens and some ridiculously funny things that happened but damn the story sucked. Was this anime made for boys or girls. The art work suggests girls but guys would get the better kick outta a hotty calling a boy master all of the time and trying to sleep with him.... any comments from others about what they think would be appreciated. Hahaha and whats with the lesbian angel that Kurumi awoke? that crap was just wierd lol

You should see kurumi 2. Its a shoujo anime but it's shoujo-ai anime too. Almost all the characters are girls. The guys' parts are small. Kurumi's new master is a girl who's childhood friend Uruka (also a girl) is in love with Kurumi's new master. Uruka gets Kurumi's "sister" Saki (the lesbian angel from the 1st series), who's in love with both Kurumi and Uruka, to try to kill Kurumi. That's what you call a Shojo-ai love square.

You did notice that the plot point of the Angels falling in love in with the person who awakens them? Saki fell in love with Kurumi because Kurumi was being childish and clingly to Nakahito.
Sure, it's fluff, but it's dang pretty fluff. The 20's dress and sayings are very accurate. The manga is a lot more violent if that's what you are looking for.

Nah, Kurumi and Kurumi two are both more like shonen romance titles in the same vein as Love Hina. Hot girls, lots of fan service, and enough action to keep things moving.

Yeah...I liked Steel Angel Kurumi!! I thoght it had a nice blend of emotion and then theme song always got me wiggling a little in my chair!!!
What I have seen of season 2, though...I'm not sure I like...

I liked Kurumi and Kurumi 2, but trying watching Kurumi Zero. It's only 3 eps (I think) long and the whole setting and plot is pretty weird.

I saw the 1st disc of kurumi 2 and they were all lesbians in that one. I don't know...maybey it just me thats really not into the hole girl on girl thing with a super human robot beating up on a lil giirls rich daddy. As far as Kurumi zero is concerned i haven't seen any of that yet.

Kurumi season 1: very good series...nice blend of action, drama, and comedy and fairly creative
Kurumi season 2: very bad series...very different feel...certain plot points are kind of rushed rehashes from season 1 (Kurumi vs. Saki/Karinka)...plus while season 1 had the appeal to both genders...Kurumi 2 is aimed towards females which I don't have a problem with but being a guy the way it works out kind of diminishes my interest (I don't really care about winning the big chello concert)
So in short season 1 was really good and season 2 was a big let down and I thought it was a waste of time

I thought Steel Angel Kurumi was very cute! Nice plot and other things in general (I.E: Mood, music, animation, etc.) had meshed together quite well. I have yet to see season 2. I'm going to get this series on DVD as soon as I come into some money and probably the manga too. I'm pathetically broke as of right now....
