Telling us what your favorite RK manga is, really isn't interesting. Telling us why its your favorite might be though.

So what makes Maison Ikkoku your favorite?

My Favourite Rumiko Takahashi is undoubtedly Ranma. Mostly for the reason that Ranma was my real 'starter' series in both anime and manga.

I appreciated the more subtle and simple art as a newbie, and found most of the characters to be quite agreable (Even though its over, I'm still rooting for Shampoo! Wink ).

Ranma was actually my only real interest in Her works. But, it was a important one!

Maison Ikkoku is not only my favorite RK manga, it's my favorite manga overall. The story and characters have a realism to them, while still being silly. This series will always have a special place in my heart since it was really my gateway manga. I spent almost 2 years collecting all the volumes in order (which was difficult with each vol. priced at $15-17 and lacking a job). Now I find Viz is rereleasing it at the $9.95 price ><. Oh well. I'm still glad I have it.

I completely agree with qollocust. Maison Ikkoku is my favorite manga as well (though I like all of Rumiko Takahashi's work). It's so sweet, funny and very interesting. Plus I find it very easy to relate to the main character - Yusaku Godai.
