I would enter all of these myself, but I would prefer to only do so if I could verify them myself (and I'm sure dormcat and company would appreciate it too.) Just post here when you enter them, and I'll edit the list to show that they're done. Also, if you try one and can't find it, please note which release you are looking on, this way people with another versions can try. The websites that I found these on aren't always very good at noting which release they are on when there are several to choose from.

The Armitage OVA and DM egge are indeed there. I wouldn't call the one for Dual Matrix an egg as it requires nothing from you except sitting through the credits. It's not hidden but it may be something one could miss if your wont to stop the movie once it reaches the credits. I'll add the one for the OVA under DVD Easter Eggs but I'll put the DM one under trivia. I was at first confused about the AMG link as AMG makes me think of the TV series while the link is referring to the OVA. If those eggs exist they are only on the initial singles release and not the box set. It's the same with Cowboy Bebop. If the egg exists, it's on the initial DVD release and not the remix release. The FMA egg doesn't exist. Couldn't find the one for Akira either.

I can confirm the ones for Fruits Basket. I have several of the other mentioned DVDs and will double-check them when I have time.

Which releases did you try for these? I think this is the one for Akira, but there are four DVDs and a UMD release for it as well. Also, there were two FMA releases, plus the box sets.

I entered vol 2's Easter Egg, however on my currant dvd player I checked vol 1 on, I can't access the hidden feture. I do recall however from when I first found this I could only view it when I watched it in my computer or some other weird thing. I am sure it's there, and I think there may be another one on one of the other disks as well, I will look into it more, however for now, I can only confirm the one.

The CCS movie 2 one I confirmed and well add to the encyclopedia...Kero-chan and Spinel's fight was adorable, I am glad to have seen this now!

For I My Me Strawberry Eggs, I had trouble as the extras are well-hidden, I did get the little extra in disks 2 and 4, however for disk 4 it listed the first set of up/left/down directions, which is what I was able to follow, and then it listed a lot of other things from this site that I couldn't follow, so I can't say what that is for, it was a bit convoluted to follow. Disk 4 also refers to disk 3's extra, so I am sure it was there, I just couldn't get my disk to load at all. I did not add these to the encyclopedia.

The Akira release they are referring to is this one. They must have screwed up on the date as the DTS version doesn't have any extras, just the movie and it can't be the regular or SS editions as they only have one disk. Also, their is nothing labeled Akira Trailer in the trailers menu. For FMA, it was the first release.

For Revolutionary Girl Utena, I can confirm the one for the series and for the movie CE, I couldn't skip past the FBI warning. The one for the Tenchi Muyo! Ultimate Edition does work. It is located on the third disk. You have to hit 1, 2, and hit enter. Magical Prject S is also confirmed although the uncensored transformation sequence is only on the second disk of the first volume. I'll check Hand Maid May later.

For Orphen, I have the perfect collection, and while I am not sure what disk they are talking about in the link to perfect collection, the links for disk 3 and 4 that are up there I checked (from my perfect collection, which I can guess are the same as singles if this was released that way) and entered them into the encyclopedia.
I was so glad to see these, they were very funny!
One exchange between Orphen (David Matranga) and Majic (Spike Spencer) was this

Majic to Orphen: "Don't flatter yourself Matranga, remember I was Shinji the lead in Evangelion"
Orpen to Majic: "Just like you Spike, living in the past."

Maybe this is funnier when you watch it rather than me typing it out... Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop

They also talk about the script changes from the dub and generally, these are just fun outtakes I didn't know were there before seeing this.
Thanks for posting this.

I believe you when you say that it's funny. I can't put my finger on why, but for some reason anime outtakes are hilarious; GTO, Desert Punk, and Shin Chan all had me clutching my sides. They're quickly catching audio commentary as my favorite extra feature.

You're welcome Wink Although the encyclopedia is full of useful information, I think the useless information is the most fun.

Because I have too much time on my hands today here are the ones I looked for...

CCS: The Movie - Worked for me.

I was going to try to look for the other CCS ones but according to the links they are from Cardcaptors, not Cardcaptor Sakura, and I don't have Cardcaptors.

For the Crest of the Stars I used the Anime Legends box set because I don't have the singles.

Crest of the Stars Vol. 1 - Worked, however I had to press '2' then select 'enter' while nothing is highlighted, instead of just '2.' The other way didn't work while playing an episode but it may be because I'm trying all these on my computer instead of a regular DVD player or because of the different set.

Crest of the Stars Vol. 2 - Both worked on the extras menu, again had to press 'enter' after pressing the number, but they did work.

Crest of the Stars Vol. 3 - Both worked.

Crest of the Stars Vol. 4 - All of these worked, including the last confusing one about how to get all the CotS histories.

Hand Maid May Vol. 1
Hand Maid May Vol. 2
Hand Maid May Vol. 3
All of the ones for HMM worked but if you are on a computer you can just highlight the thumbnails in the appendix menus and left click to play them.

AMG Vol. 1 - It's not on AMG, it's on OMG, Oh My Goddess the OVA volume 1, and it works but only using the secondary instructions in the comment. You press down, right, down, right, up, then select 'enter.'

AMG Vol. 2 - Works on OMG volume 2, but this one is easier if you just left click on the banner on the top of the screen, if your using a computer.

Otaku no Video - Both worked.

For Saber Marionette J I used my disks from the ultimate collection.

Saber Marionette J Vol. 1 - Should be listed as collection 1 disc 2, not just volume 1. It is there, but since these are just different subtitle texts, does it really count as an easter egg?

Saber Marionette J Vol. 2 - Collection 2 disc 2, works, but same question.

Saber Marionette J Vol. 3 - Collection 2. Both the ones for disc 1 and 2 work, except same question for the different texts in the music video, and I also don't get the "just go to title 12" one.

I didn't add any of them to the encyclopedia myself, so if anyone else wants the contributor points, have at it. I'm gonna go finish Comic Party as I should have done an hour ago instead of pulling other DVDs off the shelf looking for easter eggs.

I think you can rule out every other edition of Akira, the one _Emi_ linked to is the only set that has 2 discs, and the easter egg is supposed to be on disc 2 according to the link.

Fushigi Yugi: The Mysterious Play
Quote:
Bonus Feature:
When you access Setup and enable Subtitles you can watch the Music Videos with both the translations of the song lyrics and the romaji. You can also just access the subtitles by pressing the Subtitle button while viewing.

I can confirm this, but it needs to have clarification to it.

1) The image shown is of the original Suzaku box (discs 1-4, episodes 1-26), whereas the music videos are actually on disc 4 of the Seiryuu box (discs are also numbered 1-4, but are episodes 27-52).
2) This is the original release, which consisted of 2 box sets of 4 discs, no individual discs. I don't have the rereleased discs, so I can't confirm if disc 8 (the equivalent disc of the rerelease) has this feature, let alone the music videos
3) This "bonus feature" is automatic if subtitles are on, and there is no way to separate the translations and the romaji (which is how it came across to me, that this could be possible).

I'm not sure if it counts as an Easter Egg, since it's an automatic thing.

Saiyuki volume 1
Quote:
Preview:
Go to the Extras Menu and highlight Main, press your Up button and the orb Hakkai is forming will be highlighted, press your Enter button and a Saiyuki preview will play.

Don't even need to test this one, I've done it before (if you're playing it on your computer, you can just click the orb). BTW, this is confirmed for the original individual disc release, I don't know about the Double Barrel (2-disc sets) release, and I don't remember if there is a box set for Saiyuki or not.

Quote:
Tenchi I can't figure out what it is

That's the first disc of the Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki! 3 OAV (which, IIRC, was reased in the US as "Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki!", since the original release was just "Tenchi Muyo!")

Unfortunately, I can't test it 'because I don't have it.

When my roommate finds it, we'll check her Blood: The Last Vampire disc.

Posting this one separate, since it wasn't on the list:

X[one]
Quote:
Trailer:
Go to the "Special Features" on your X DVD. Go down to the bottom option, and move the selection to the left. The Manga logo will be highlighted. Click this for a cool trailer to Blood: The Last Vampire.

Besides the fact that there is no "Special Features" on the DVD (it's Extras), there is no "Manga Logo", either. Given that it's the same one that's listed as being assumed to be the movie on the list (same text), I'm assuming that's what it is, and definitely NOT the first disc of the tv.

I pulled out my Berserk Complete Collection and verified all the hidden eggs except the disk 6 gag reel clip, mine access a wee bit differently than what was listed, perhaps because it is a complete collection and not the singles, so maybe someone else can verify that last one and/or list the different ways of accessing if you have the singles. I did add to the encyclopedia the way I was able to access and what version disks I was using.

I've confirmed all the easter eggs for Jubei-chan volumes 1-4 on the Anime Legends Complete Collection. The instructions have been added to the encylopedia, the fourth disk took some time to find for a standard DVD player.
