I was actually pretty surprised that I enjoyed .hack//Legend of the Twilight so much. I think what works for it, is that it doesn't try to be something that it's not. It is meant to be a fun spinoff of .hack//SIGN, and I think it accomplishes that. I don't have as discriminating of tastes as some people, though. I wouldn't say it's the best manga out there, but it's cute and worth your while.

That must mean it gets boring in one of the volumes.

No, it just means that there are much better manga out there than .hack//Legend of the Twilight. It doesn't mean it's not a good title, just that it's not outstanding.

Wow... you've gotten good at Godai speak. Wink

But yes, I think there a lot of other excellent manga out there that far exceeds .hack

I've read the first two and still awaiting the 3rd. Its all right. Like lianncoop said, it doesn't try to be anything that its not. Its good fun to read on a trip.

I was disapponted to find out that Zefie is not in the animated version...

I like the manga, and want to see the anime. I heard they made the anime completely different, though. Confused

I read the first vol. and it was cute, but there are some more enjoyable titles out there that I would rather get, so its not high on my list to finish.

Yep, its a lot different. But its still the same style and mentality (not serious).

As far as not finishing it. Its only 3 volumes! that would really annoy me to have only one of 3 volumes...I'd have to really dislike it to do that. Mad

True, I have not read much manga I just learned what it was in september.I have read at least one, two or three of the volumes of these titles. (But I also have bought a lot of manga since then. Anime smile + sweatdrop )
.Hack:// Legend of the Twilight
Naruto
Gravitation
Rurouni Kenshin
Ranma1/2
Chobits
Inuyasha
Battle Vixens
Jing: The King of Bandits
One Piece
Yu-Gi-Oh!
Pok'emon Adventures(I don't know why)
and... Other titles from magazines like Raijin
and Shonen Jump.

Well the reason for thinking Hack is the best is because I have only read the mangas listed above.

Man, you thought .Hack was better than Naruto or Kenshin? Wait till more volumes of Naruto and Kenshin are released, read those, and try making this assessment again. I wouldn't be surprised if your list order changed.

Either that, or we'll just shake our heads in amazement at his rather odd choice of preferred manga.

Smile

There are a couple of excellent titles on that list, and as your list expands, I'm sure you will find even more stuff that you like.

I'm all for differences of opinion, but I'm also for agreeing with an opinion. And I agree with Sakechan here. I thought .hack was decent enough, but by the Chuunin Arc in Naruto and the Kyoto Arc in Kenshin (well, Oniwabanshuu Arc, really), both titles had soundly trumped just about any of the .hack offerings. I'd also probably put Inu-Yasha, Ranma ½, & Chobits up there, too (as unimpressed with the Chobits anime as I am, the manga is nifty). And...hm...Nagi needs to read Gravitation. It interests me...
