I think envently reality shows will be baised on anime. Last night they priemed "Trading Spouses" which is loosy baised on a scech of Chappelle's Show. I think it is likly to happen, they have movie baised and parodies of current reality. What do you think?

It's possible, but most of the anime out there might prove hard to turn into a reality show and part of me does not want to see it become one. Partly, because reality shows are already starting to annoy me in general, and also to me at least anime shows are unique because they largely exist outside of reality, and would lose something in my opinion, in either a live action format or by having people do a take off of one concept from the anime for the sake of a reality show.

I think it'd be kinda hard to have a reality show based on anime. I mean, what makes a lot of anime great is that it has a continuing story with strong characters. You'd be hard pressed to have that kind of drama and character growth in a reality show.

Then again, you can have a reality show based loosely on a harem title like Love Hina. But then it'd just be like the Bachelor.

i don't see it happening,

there is this anime were a bunch of children are on an island and they have to kill each other within 48 hours to get of the island (srry, haven't seen this anime myslef and can't remember the name Anime smile + sweatdrop ), i don't think that that will be something they'll do to a reality show, although as long as i've lived (and that is a full 19 years) humanty has never ceased to surprise me when it comes to realizing the most unlikely projects

I think it'd be funny. Thought I think the whole Trading Spouces thing could be like in Marmalade Boy spoiler[when Miki and Yuu's Parents pretty much trade spouces, only they all live in the same house though..] But, what I think would make a funny "reality" show would be to take a bunch of popular anime characters, dress real people up like them, and have everything go from there. They could have Heero and Jigen in a marksman contest. Crazy stuff like that. That, would be a reality show worth tuning into. Anime catgrin

Or "My Life as a Sitcom"

We'll probably have a better chance of seeing an I Love the X0's anime version than we do an anime-based reality show. (I actually keep thinking about doing that as a fanfiction, but it'd just be too much work.)

It would be funny to have someone make a comedy anime based on reality shows (especially mixing characters from various movies, manga, etc) but I can't see a reality show based on anime.

I'm going to second, third, fourth, and fifth this statement (sixth, even). Reality television is the slow, agonising death of the TV industry, made worse by the fact that it's already worn out its welcome with much of this country and just keeps growing.

Funny how so many television executives are stumped as to why certain demographics have absolutely vanished. Maybe they have better taste than to sit through yet another pre-scripted piece of trash like Survivor XXXVII or the latest season of Fear Factor?

Then I will seventh this statement. IMHO FOX is destroying network Television. The reality shows they have is a load of crap. American Idol was milked for all it's worth, yet they kept going, possibly killing the cow. ( Neutral ) It's all been done before...and FOX thinks of the most idiotic premises for a TV show. I don't even watch TV very much becuase of all this. I just watch AS and a few shows here and there. Also they did a reality "movie", titled Games People Play: New York. Now we should expect reality movies. And it could be hard to make an anime into a reality show, Battle Royal would be an exception. You would need to rev-ramp it a little bit...

Honestly...if they had Anime Real World or Anime Survivor. I'd love to see otaku go head to head. But, I'm missing the point...

A reality show BASED on an anime? That's...yeah, I don't see it happening. I'd love to see I reality show based on Love Hina...(yeah right).

People have been saying that about Fox since it's debut. It's what they do.

I'll eigth this statement, there really is too much of it out there, I can't even turn on a single channel without having some reality show on. What happened to all the sitcoms? At least those were funny! Even a soap opera is more entertaining then any reality show out there.

I'd still want to see one where they dress people up like different anime characters and have them in a house or something.
