That reviewer is a moron. Must be confusing Noir with KITE or something. There's no real sexual content in Noir to my memory, save for some pretty tame lovin' between Kirika & Chloe somewhere in the last three episodes of the series. And even that never goes beyond a kiss or two.

As far as I remember NOIR is as clean as it gets. Almost no blood not even fan service. Overall exellent anime and I enjoyed every bit of it. Music is kickass. Plain sick music score.

Absolute rubbish. The reviewer is either blind or a total jerk. You don't even get to see a lot of blood, although lots of bullets are fired.

i'm guessing tthey are talking about the part with Altena's past. the scene is set up in a way that makes you assume that's what happened.

I'm not that far into the series yet, still on episode 17. But even so, I'd imagine the viewer realy has to be prettty imaginative to even try to visualize that. I don't think it is even graphic enough to just suggest it. But I may be wrong. Give me a couple of weeks to finish the series and I'll get back to you.

As far as I can remember there is NO blood. I've never seen so much gunfire, with so little blood.

Can't disagree there. I saw Yuki Kajiura at AX this year and she was awesome. She also did the music for .Hack//Sign and is slated to do the music for the next Xenosaga game.

I remember when Kirika got shot in her arm (somewhere in the middle east) early on in the show, there was just that little bit of blood. I could be wrong though because my memory is notoriously bad. [/quote]

there are no rape scenes in Noir. however there is very strong indication that yuri exists in it. Nothing blatant, except the kissing, but the relationship between the three girls seems more than just acquaintance or teamwork...

The series is OK, and I don't remember any actual scenes of graphical depictions of a sexual nature.
Of course, it's been a while since I last saw the series, and I didn't like it too much anyway, so maybe my comments are less supportive.
As said earlier, the music is great. I can't seem to get enough of the .hack//SIGN OSTs now. My only problems with this series are that it was pretty slow at some parts. Not to mention the lack of blood made it seem less gruesome than it could've been portrayed.
And one of the most annoying things that got to me were those weird lines that were displayed because of the anamorphic widescreen format.
I sampled a little bit of .hack//SIGN Vol.1 on my TV, which is also in that format, but there were no lines like that at all.
Ah well, I'm just a little picky. Maybe if I decide to watch it again someday, I'll possibly like it a little more the next time around.

The series is ok, has little violence and no sex. However :
The review is talking about the Altena past, there is a implied child rape in the last chapter but it is implied (in fact a few people seem to notive it)

The last episode? I'll go take a look, when I have the time. I'm currently stuck at episode 17 because I got distracted watching GITS: SAC. But not being able to understand Japanese and with the often crappy sub-titling, I might miss it altogether.
