Otakon is the only convention near me, does anyone know of 1 in DC?

AnimeUSA is in Crystal City, which is closer than Baltimore, I believe. I live about 30 minutes outside DC, and Crystal City is only about 20 minutes away. You can even take the Metro there!
It's a nice, reasonable sized con. I don't know what your previous con experience is, but it's a good one if it's your first, and more comfortable than Otakon. |

Besides Anime USA which infinitebeauty mentioned, there is also Katsucon, a medium-sized convention (around 6,000 attendees the past few years) that's usually held over the President's Day weekend. It's usually held in DC, but for the upcoming convention, it's been moved to Crystal City as well. (Same hotel as Anime USA, too.)
