Lol is it THAT bad ? I've only seen the first episode (and dropped it) but I thought it was very mediocre, but not the worst anime I've seen |

As one of the eight people in the world who actually liked Dragonaut, I'm pretty happy to hear about this. It's no different than other GONZO shows that get an extra, DVD-only episode, so I suppose that it will be a little fluff one that takes place in the earlier teen episodes spoiler[(or during the jump)].

The only reason I finished it is cause I never leave things undone even if I hate it...Dragonauts is simply one of the worst shows I've ever seen. The only thing I liked was the art, the soundtrack and the seiyuu cast. I mean c'mon... spoiler[Entering the hotsprings in ENEMY TERRITORY?] And what the hell is up with spoiler[Kazuki being all good in the end? he was completely evil for basically the entire show.] |

Oh, God, no! NO! Why? Why? WHY? What did we do to deserve this?
Yes, it was that bad. I hope we never get a sequel to it. Now a retelling of the story from the very beginning, with both the plot and the script written by someone who actually knows what he's doing, might be a good idea. Just don't expect me to pay for it (I'd sooner pay for something "dubbed" in Bulgarian). This has been the only time when I hoped for the Earth to get destroyed and for the main characters to die (so I know how the guys from I-Z felt). |

I kind of like this anime, but...where does it say they are going to do a re-boot of it (even tohugh I did like the anime, I think that would be a bad idea). But still, I tohught for sure episode 25 would be the last one (it was ok for an ending, it's not like there was going to be another enemie or something, unless

Never seen the show but what's so bad about other the extensive sexist boob fanservice (heck, any female nudity fanservice can be considered as sexis)?

If anything, the large breasts is one of the only things GONZO does consistently right. It was just a bad and aimless trainwreck that wasn't fun to watch, like Code Geass or most of the Gundams. A typical bad GONZO anime. I gave it two episodes before deciding it wasn't worth my time. And sexism doesn't exist in Japan, at least not like it does in other countries. The women are usually objects and are preferred to be weak and meek. Applying sexism to it gets you nowhere, because the target audience for these shows are still 18-34 year old lonely men. |

why wont the horror stop? I stopped watching after the 4th episode and just read the reviews off of the rest of the shows. crappiest crap you could ever watch. Boobs the size of watermelons (no joke), bad story line and a six fingered girl http://randomc.animeblogger.net/image/Dragonaut/Dragonaut%20-%2021%20-%20Large%2014.jpg I lol at the animators for missing this.
I mean, how can spoiler[the power of love be the final thing that ends the show; what a poor deux ex machina] Last edited by sarsman45 on Thu Aug 14, 2008 11:23 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Code Geass is far more entertaining but also less repetitive, as well as better written and directed, I'd argue. Which isn't saying much, but it's enough for me in that particular case. I don't even like the term "trainwreck", but Dragonaut is definitely a bad show, whatever you want to call it. I didn't find the first couple of episodes to be that bad, the low budget CG aside, but after a while even reading episode summaries became a real chore. |

It's surprising that my message still gets around after the show is done. |
