I have a question to anyone that knows: Will the Shadow Chronicles be accepted into Macross time line? Since it covers a time period between Macross Zero and Superdimensionall Starfortress Macross?
According to the trailer I think I saw the same characters like in Macross Zero so I am confused if this can be regarded as a part of Macross timeline? Please tell me if I am wrong?

Simply put, while Robotech used the Macross TV series as the first "arc" of it's continuity, it is outside of the normal Macross continuity, as Robotech is also outside of Macross's continuity. The result is that Shadow Chronicles fits nowhere in Macross, but rather after the third season of Robotech (New Generation, which is based off Mosepedea)

Yeah I know that but I was under the impression that it is suposed to be the prequel To Robotech And not sequel. But I guess I got my facts mixed up.

Whether Shadow Chronicles is a prequel or a sequel, Robotech does not belong anywhere in Macross canon.

I just thought that if it is set in time period between Macross Zero and Macross Saga (which more or less both Robotech and Macross have in common) then it could possibly be used in both series.

That isn't possible. Only the original Macross series was ever part of Robotech. If Shadow Chronicles is a prequel to Robotech, it probably won't take Macross Zero into consideration at all.

Shadow Chronicles is a direct sequel to the end of the 85 episode Robotech series. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yes. It is impossible for Shadow Chronicles to be even distantly related to the Macross franchise, because it is a sequel to Robotech's third arc. An arc that was based on Genesis Climber MOSPEADA, a show which has absolutely nothing to do with Macross other than the fact that both series (along with the also unrelated (The) Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross) were used as parts of Robotech. Therefore, because Shadow Chronicles relies on events that never happened in the Macross timeline, the two cannot be even remotely assumed to be part of the same universe (i.e. interrelated canon).
It isn't rocket science.
