I don't think that Kodocha is a licensing issue, it's just out of print. And as far as I know it is going to stay that way (the only thing I know TP was looking into getting back in print was Clover and Sailor Moon, but they mentioned that probably at least as year ago and nothing has happened so I wouldn't hold my breath on those).

TokyoPop has already mentioned that Kodocha won't be relicensed by them ever again.

Kodocha is a Shueisha manga, and since Shueisha is one of the owners of Viz, Viz gets first chance. Also, Shueisha doesn't seem to like TokyoPop very much since they are one of the few companies that won't let TokyoPop even touch any of their mangas (Square-Enix is another company that does the same).

Sailor Moon also has the problem of being a Shueisha title, but there might also be other problems with that title.

Actually it's a Kodansha title.

OK, so I made a mistake with Sailor Moon; my bad. That has it's own problems anyway.

And if you guys want links, here's what TokyoPop's Peter Alhstrom has said about Kodocha:
Quote:
Unfortunately for us, Shueisha is one of the owners of VIZ, so VIZ gets almost all of the Shueisha manga. We published Kodocha and Marmalade Boy, but they didn't even let us renew those licenses and don't want to give us anything else anymore.

Here's the adress too: TokyoPop forums
