Huh. From what I remember the home video sales for Zombie Desu ka weren't at the typical level for a sequel. Before this SHAFT was pretty much the only studio that would do a sequel regardless how something sells.

Though, it could be that the series boosted the light novel sales enough to justify further adaptation.

Fun show but nothing special.
Either way, at least there will be one more entertaining show airing next year.

even if it doesn't do that great in japan, as far as sales, I know I will be buying it when funi finally releases it.

and I am hoping for several seasons, as long as they can keep it funny

The only real news here is when the series starts, as the second series had been announced as green-lit over 5 months ago:

Here's to hoping CR makes an announcement of streaming rights very soon, because I enjoyed this series. It wasn't too serious nor was it too inane. It had a very good balance of humor and story to make each episode pleasing.

Watched the first season. Thought it was pretty stupid.

Watched the OVA. Further confirmation that the series is stupid.

Will probably watch season 2 anyway.

I wouldn't expect to hear anything from them on this until they make their other Spring 2012 simulcast announcements. Even in the case of "slam dunks", such Natsume Yuujin-Chou Shi, they don't make early announcements.

It will be interesting to get a better indication of what CR's rights are regarding sequels to Kadokawa series they previously had. While they got the second Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi this season, it is very possible Nico Nico had no interest in it. That would not be the case with Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?.

Another show to look forward to. Hopefully FUNimation will get this as they've already got the first season.

And when was season 2 of Student Council's Discretion announced? I never heard anything about it!
