!!!Go Kanade!!!
The results are all pretty agreeable to me. Madoka is cleaning house a bit much; Sayaka is alright, but I don't think she deserves so many votes. I can see how the others won though. Aside from that I don't have any major complaints.

Biribiri with the most votes of the round... excellent.

Well, from a personal viewpoint, I think Biribiri is only the second best Misaka, but Imouto bowed out long ago, so apparently not many share my opinion. If Misaka takes this though, I'm cool with that. I'm glad to see the Milky Holmes girls fall. The only one I didn't find unbearably annoying was Sherlock Shellingford. Not quite sure what so many people saw in that show.

I also prefer #10032, but she doesn't have nearly enough screentime unfortunately. Like, I think she had that one (adorable) date with Touma in the second season, and that was all we saw of her

Astarotte won against Kurisu?
I AM DISAPPOINT.
I love how most of the Madoka characters are still in, though.

Sorry to all the Biribiri fans but she was knocked out by Lotte. There seemed to be accusations of people multi-voting in favor of Mikoto in previous rounds, so her popularity diminished fast.
As for me, with Kurisu already done, I'll be hoping to see Ika Musume win, though it doesn't look like anyone's getting past the Madoka faction.
@EnigmaticSky - Kanade also lost to Strike Witch Erica Hartmann.

Agreed I can only hope that if there is a season 3, that Imouto (I just like the sound of that better than #10032, even though technically Imouto could refer to any of the clones I guess) gets an expanded role. I really liked her progression from near emotionless clone to developing thoughts and feelings of her own.

THis is more of a popularity contest than how actually moe they are even though this tournament is called the "Saimoe" contest. Madoka characters are the most obvious examples of this case, because that show was not designed to be moe, but these girls are still sweeping everyone by a long shot because everyone knows of them.

Suzuha and CHRISTINE! lost by a combined twelve votes. I'm calling shenanigans
...and ordering takeout.

Well no kidding. Saimoe has ALWAYS been a popularity contest. Did you ever once think it was an objective process using a strict moe formula? It's always been vote for the most popular, or if your favorite was eliminated, get enough of an antivote together to make the character that eliminated your own personal pinnacle of moe eliminated themselves.
