Is it common for Anime to show up on japanese pay per view? This is the first time I've heard of it (though I'm not really surprised by it). Also, how would you classify it? Special, Movie, or TV?

This, is like, the best news I've had since breakfast.
Seriously, one of my co-workers nearly dropped a Ford Ranger on his head today, with another co-worker in it, so this is way better than that.

Very excited about this.
So what is the story about? I assume it is about Project D.
I can't wait to see the new CG races, along with the possible new vehicles (Integra Type R? Altezza RS200?)

It should be Project D. Which also means we'll get to see The Subaru Impreza WRX STI that Bunta buys for Takumi, as he feels Takumi has outgrown the AE86

To be able to order anime on Pay-Per-View would be awsome, probably be a lot cheaper then DVDs.

An STI? SWEET! Is it a 22B, or just a regular STi?
Also, will there happen to be any guest appearences by a R33 or R34?

To answer your question... It's a GC8, Version V, it shares the same front end as the 22B but aside from that not much...[/quote]
As for the R33 or R34... An R34 GT-25 Turbo appears... It's a RWD R34... driven by the first opponent, of the Project D arc, of Takahashi Keisuke
I am looking forward to seeing this though... So does it mean that 4th Stage as a whole is startting in April or is it just this little 85 minute recap?

The 85-minutes recap will run from December 27, 2003 to January 31, 2003 on Animax(ch. 183(PPV)). It basically will feature the recap of 1st stage to 3rd stage. It will also include some info of new locations, new characters and the making of "Initial D 4th Stage".

What does Stage 1 and Stage 2 and so on forth mean? Is that the episode names, or the DVD names? I'm sorry, but I really have no clue.

It's just a way of organising the series into chronological order.
so like first stage and second stage are seasons 1 and 2
