Doubt with FMP : Fumoffu

I've seen ANN's review of fumoffu and it says that fumoffu has 17 episodes. But in a thread i saw, someone had said that fumoffu has only twelve episodes. Which is correct?

From the episodes I saw it has only 12 episodes. I might be wrong so, id look for more oppinions.

Yes, I forgot about that. I'd say about half of the episodes are split into 2eps (basicly some episodes are only 15 mins long), like 4/5 on one 30 min slot.

But, if you are looking for total amount of episodes it is about 17.

Well, i think some of the episodes are split into "mini episodes," so they basically have two half-length episodes packed into one (which are completely unrelated). So, depending how you look at it, and what you consider to be one episode, Fumoffu can have 12 or 17 episodes (that is, counting the unaired episodes).

The "episode count" listing for Fumoffu is misleading. There are only 12 actual episodes, but some people claim that there are actually 17 because the first and second halves of episodes 1, 2, and 4-6 have different names and stories unrelated to each other.

. . .In fact I just submitted a Comment on Fumoffu's Encyclopedia entry to that effect, to assure that this confusion won't pop up again.

If it helps:

Full Metal Panic = 24 episodes

Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu = 12 episodes

Full Metal Panic, The Second Raid! = 13 episodes

Total = 39

I hope it doesn't take so long for the next FMA series. I wonder how long that one will be.
