I can't be sure if this has been posted before but as you know it's October and with the season comes a fresh batch of anime, but which ones are you most looking forward to? Question

Personally I am excited about:
- Clannad (I get excited about anything from KyoAni Anime smile),
- Kodomo no Jikan (I've read the manga and I love it so far)
- Shakugan no Shana 2nd season (I enjoyed the 1st season so I hoping for the same this season)

We'll be putting up our Fall Preview Guide in a couple of weeks (i.e. once most of the first eps have actually come out) and those three will, for certain, be among them.

Personally, beyond the series continuations like Shana 2, this new season looks rather boring. Unlike the spring season, nothing else is really jumping out at me. Maybe Blue Drop, but it's hard to tell on that one based on the preview info I've seen so far.

But it will be interesting to see how much trouble Kodomo no Jikan can stir up. Rolling Eyes

They are actually doing a second season of Shana huh? I found it more mediocre than probably anything in existence but I suppose I'll see if the second season can pick a genre and do it right this time.

Aoi Yuki, just do a Google for "Fall Anime Preview" and you should get a handful of good sites with detailed breakdowns of the fall season - all based only on promos or company-released info, of course.

Looks like a lotta moe and harem-like stuff on the agenda, from what I've seen.

This season looks pretty weak. I only have 2-3 must check out series. Gonna have to dig hard for sleeper titles.

Kodomo no Jikan - I was unimpressed with the manga from what I read of it, but I loved that OVA. Maybe I didn't like it at first because I'm generally inclined to dislike any manga I read through fanscans since I hate reading comic books on my computer, but I liked the OVA so much I want to give the manga a second chance. Kodomo no Jikan TV is definitely number one on my "to-watch" list.

Clannad - The only recent KyoAni show I've seen that's failed to entertain me is Lucky Star and I loved Air and Kanon (both the ‘02 version and the ‘06 one), so I've got high hopes for this new anime based on a Key game.

Genshiken 2 - I loved the first season, so I'm exited about the second.

Shugo Chara - It's super cute and I like the manga.

Myself ; Yourself - Based on a visual novel? I'm already there.

Da Capo II - I liked the other two seasons, so I'll probably watch this.

Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun - I don't know much about it, but it looks cute.

Shakugan no Shana II - Second - ... Ehehe, I still have to finish watching the first season, but I'll get around to seeing this eventually. Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop

No way, it looks like there's not enough moe and harem stuff from what I've seen. Smile

Ghost Hound and ummm.... that's pretty much it! Moe/Harem/Visual Novel adaptation over-saturation doesn't leave much for me to care about this season.

Aw, no good shounen, mech or seinin series out this time? Sad Well I know Gundam 00 will be out this fall at least, but so far it may very well seem like that'll likely by the only one I'll be interested in.

Ghost Hound- This is Production I.G.'s 20th anniversary project, and it looks very promising. I love Mariko Oka's character designs and the concept intrigues me.

Rental Magica- Magicians for hire? Sounds like a fun anime.

Moyashimon- Really unique concept. A college student (who is an agriculture major) has the ability to see and talk to germs. This seems to be one of those niche anime that I usually enjoy.

Jyuushin Enbu -Hero Tales-
Doesn't really grab me, but I'll give it a chance.

Shion no Oh-
Same as above.

Minami-ke- This could be either really good or really bad. Some of the staff are troubling me, though (Directed by the same person behind Crescent Love (Ick))

Mokke- A tale of two sisters; one can see ghosts, and the other one is haunted by them. Could be really good and it seems like something I'd like.

Kimikiss- Pure Rouge- I'm only interested in this because it's directed by Kenichi Kasai (Honey and Clover, Nodame Cantabile).

Suteki Tantei Labybrinth- The character designs are cute and I like mysteries.

Sketchbook ~full color's~ - It's being supervised by Junichi Sato, so it has to at least be decent.

Bamboo Blade- Could be a feel good friendship story ala Manabi Straight. I'll check it out.

Clannad- This is a definite. I love Kanon 2006 and enjoyed Air, so I'm bound to like Clannad as well.

Other anime I want to see: the new Manabi Straight OAV (More Manabi!!), Tokyo Marble Chocolate (An OAV by Production I.G. that looks gorgeous), and Miyori no Mori (Sounds interesting).

I think Kodojika works better animated than it did as a manga, so that may go a ways towards explaining your unenthusiasm for the manga. I also thought the OVA was pretty good, and I honestly don't get all the "controversy".

Other stuff I'll probably be watching:
Blue Drop - Looks interesting enough
Clannad - Let the weepage begin
Dragonaut - Mostly it's the character designs that interest me
Ghost Hound - Production I.G. and Shirow Masamune? I'm THERE!
Genshiken 2 - Durrr
Goshuushousama Ninomiya-kun - Well I don't expect more than routine fanservice
Kimikiss - I... I honestly don't know why I want to see this
Moyashimon - Quirky subject matter/characters? Check.
Shana 2 - Liked the first season well enough
Sketchbook - Most 4koma-based anime I've seen have been pretty good, so I'll give this one a shot as well.
Suteki Tantei Labyrinth - I may be the only person who's more interested in this than Neuro

ill be looking forward to clannad the most but gundam 00, shana and genshiken seasons 2 will be right behind them

kannon takes place in winter, air in summer, now clannad in spring. i wonder if there will be a fall adaption afterwards.
the previews for shana 2 looks pretty awesome. i liked season 1 alot and look forward to it. i miss her three shutup's!
gundam 00 will be done in high definition. im definitely wanting to see this especially after reading the synopsis in newtype's october issue. one of the characters remind me of gundam wing and it seems the main characters attutide is also similar to gundam wing's main character

Yeah that's true because after seeing how well the OVA adapted those manga chapters, I can tell that will most likely keep everything else in the manga the same and not leave a single dirty joke out. Anime smile

Nougami Neuro the manga is hilarious, and Madhouse is working on it. i don't like that the first episode skipped chapters, but i'm still confident things will turn out well.

Ghost Hound a Masamune Shirow concept by the creators of Lain. i don't think any more needs to be to said than that.

Genshiken 2 i loved the first one. the only true Otaku anime i've ever seen.

maybes:

Hero Tales it's by Hiromu Arakawa, but none of the FMA production staff is involved. since she didn't write the FMA anime (post 20 at least), this will be the test to see if her work holds up on it's own.

Shakugan No Shana 2 i hated how moe-tastic the first one was, but a part of me wants to know how it ends.

Gundam 00 i hate post-Tomino Gundam, but it's being directed by Seiji Mizushima. that makes me think it might actually be pretty good.
