YAY! YAY! YAY! I can finally get Cat's Eye!

But sheesh holding it up for XBOX 360 problems? How many people actually use an XBOX 360 to play back DVDs?

I think most of the "hold up" occurred when they were trying to get CSS to go through legally. When they decided to switch to a different protection system I'm sure they had to go through and test it again on all different types DVD drives to make sure that it worked.

As far as the 360 needing to have some tweaking done in order for the new system to work, I think it is good to hear that they at least checked all conceivable systems. And if you think about it, they didn't drop CSS but less than a month ago. So it seems to me they ironed out the new system fairly quickly.

I too have been waiting for these to come out. While they are not new releases(in terms of age, not market), I have been fairly anxoius to get a hold of them. And I am glad to hear that things finally seem to be a go.

I use my PS2 as my primary DVD player, so I'm sure it's not as uncommon as you think.

A lot. It's an outstanding DVD (and HD-DVD, if you get it) player. Everyone I know with an Xbox 360 is using it for DVD playback.

Me.

I almost always watch anime in my room, so my DVD player selection is between the 360 and PS2. Personally, I find the 360's DVD controls better. (Everything is done on a tiny pop-up menu, instead of bumping the "skip" button on the PS2 controller by accident. Plus the PS2 pop-up menu is fairly ugly and takes up too much space with extra useless features.)

I still find regular DVD players much more useful, though.

I'm so glad to finally get my copies since it has been so many weeks since AoD reviewed them. All eight volumes for the three series are now available for preorder at TRSI. I hope that the other volumes will stay on schedule and volumes 7 and 8 will be released by December 4th. Since the DVDs are being released in pairs why not have them sold in pairs? Not that it really matters, but I would believe anyone collecting these series would end up collecting the entire series.

The Xbox 360 makes so much noise. It's bad enough trying to watch my Blu-ray titles on the slightly less noisy PS3. I don't know how people do it.

BTW, they finally made it. So if you want Orguss, Cat's Eye, and/or Remy, head on over to RightStuf. Congratulations and good luck, Justin. And please save Lupin next. Crying or Very sad

For whatever reason Nobody's Boy Remi is the only title that has been delayed again (unfortunately it's also the only title I was getting, so I'm still waiting). It shows now that it'll ship by October 5th, so I'm crossing my fingers that I'll have it within the next couple of weeks. I may also try Cat's Eye if for no other reason to support this project and future classic releases.
