Well, been a while since I've seen it. It's mainly about a kid of a famous tennis player who wants to be able to beat his dad or something like that. The first part of the show that I've seen involves him trying out for the main tennis team in his school. He becomes the youngest member of it or something.
It's a strangely addicting show, and I would watch more if I could get my hands on it.

From a "professional" standpoint, it's all right. In my opinion, I want to whip my retinas with a wet noodle. Speaking of psycho fangirls, I once mentioned that the acronym for "prince of tennis" is p.o.t. Apparently, my clever(read:random) observation was an insinuation of doom. They instantly sprouted fangs, with evil glowing pink eyes, and descended on me like a swarm of rabid teddy bears. (*pauses and prepares for similar reaction)

*slowly walks over... raises his hand.... GIVES A THUMBS UP!*
If you ask me what the acronym should be is P.O.C, you find out what it means...

It's a sports anime aimed at girls so I think the chances of this coming here are rather small. Of all the sports anime in Japan, I can only think of Princess Nine as one that was released here. I really enjoyed Princess Nine even though I wouldn't be caught dead at a baseball game.
I've heard SO MANY good things about this series that I wonder why it hasn't been picked up. Personally, I would rent it rather than buy it.
Sports...blah
On top of that, it's 92 episodes and nobody wants to bet money on something that big.

Hey, Hikaru no Go is coming here, so who knows. Course, that's only the manga so far, but there's a POT manga.
P.O.C. ... XD

The American Go Association announced Viz had the manga and anime. Viz themselves has only announced the manga.. and apparently has been shuffling their feet when asked about the anime.
But still, HnG the anime will definately come out if the manga does well in SJ.
