Has anyone else given this series a shot? I know Carlo panned it when he reviewed Vol. 2 a while back, but I finally got around to reading the first two volumes and was actually surprised by my reaction to it.
When I finished the first volume, I absolutely hated the book. It was boring, repetitive, and, well, just awful, really. But because I'm a good little reviewer, I went ahead and read the 2nd volume and was stunned that, well, I actually kinda liked it.  The romance angle kicks in, and the book actually becomes interesting. Yeah, it's not great (it's no Love Hina, that's for sure), but it went from being downright horrible to being kinda sorta enjoyable.
Anyway, you can read a lot more of my thoughts in my review here. Anyone else out there given the series a chance? If so, what did you think? |

The first Gacha Gacha story arc was really enjoyable, and although the Next Gen isn't quite as interesting I still LOL at times and eagerly await each release. And yeah, I think the vast majority of people would agree with you that this series is no Love Hina
