Mushi-Uta
A new series based on a series of novels, produced by newcomer studio Beat Frog, Mushi-Uta is one of those "makes almost complete sense but has an apparent confusing undercurrent which has yet to come out" series. The show is rather hard to describe as the "undercurrent" is way too confusing and ambiguous at this point, but in its universe there exist people called Mushi-tsuki, those who are possessed by giant buglike creatures called Mushi (although it seems like they're controlling the Mushi instead of being possessed by them). The main character is a boy named Daisuke Kusuriya who is a boy prodigy Mushi-tsuki, achieving a first class rank, and he transfers to a local high school for an undisclosed reason. There, he meets new friends, and the day after his transfer encounters a somewhat depressed young girl (Shiika) he met so long ago, and I guess the relationship between the two will be a major part of the series. The series is actually very intriguing so far and gives off heavy Darker than Black vibes (mysterious organization we don't know much about, mysterious powers that certain people possess, a distant main character who is really powerful but is always pleasant and polite in front of normal people, etc.). This show could be one of the best of the season if handled correctly. [EDIT] Plus the OP is seriously addicting.
