First off, last night's episode - #80, the one which spoiler[wraps up the attack on the Hidden Leaf Village and shows the Third Hokage's memorial service], either had some broadcast problem or an error on my DVR, because the episode cut off with what I'd estimate to be about two minutes left. It happened during the scene where spoiler[Kakashi is at the memorial talking with the other woman.] Can someone who's seen that episode in full tell me what, if anything, happened from that point on?
In general, Naruto has frequently annoyed me with its tendency to interminably drag things out, but the last three episodes broadcast on [as] have reminded me about why I continue to stick with this series. At its best - and I think episodes 78-80 compose possibly the best three-episode run in the series to date - this series can really deliver. Ya, I noticed it was cut-off and was confused on what happened.
I don't know about that. though, I mean this little session has always held a part of my heart as what a great battle should do to conclude and how sad some things can be. But the season 5/6 spoiler[ Sasuke retrieval arc], when we get through Chouji and Neji's fight, that's up there with the best of Naruto episodes. [EDIT: Added spoiler tags, just in case. -TK] |

The same thing happened for me too. The scene where spoiler[kakashi was talking with the woman] wnet black then a fence with the CN logo appeared then the same scene repeated then went back to the fence then straight to the credits. Also they did not show a preview. Could they have not done that though since it is not on next saturday or is Naruto taking a break?

Happened to me too, technical difficulties I'd imagine. Ah well, it happens and it was near the end of the episode so it's no big loss. I've had worse incidents, like when I was watching the Avs vs. the Wings earlier this month. Screen goes black with about 2 minutes remaining in the 2nd period with the Avs up 2-0 and remains off for about 10 min; during which Detroit scored

Okay, so it wasn't just me who had the problem on CN. I don't like doing it, but this is one of the only times where I actually looked up the episode online so I could see how it ended. The most important part of the end; two mysterious new characters were introduced, and one of them had the Sharingan.

Sounds like they had problems with the master tape on at CN HQ. If it was just the cable company, they'll put their own "We are having technical problems."info instead of CN's. Do they still air last week episode before the new one?

Naruto does not appear on AdultSwim, it's on Toonami. Also April 7th they're suppose to play a Naruto marathon .aka. Narutothon. The episode from last night will be included, plus 2 new episodes.

Ever heard of spoilers? Only people that know about that are the people who have seen the fansubs and scanlations. The worst thing about the Naruto error is that it screwed up my DVR recording the rest of Toonami. The rest of the shows started four minutes early and ended four minutes early. Oh well, I didn't lose those parts of the episodes, it was just less convenient to watch. Next week is a total waste. "Who loves ya?" Not you, Toonami, if you're going to keep showing the same movies over and over again... Emerje |

The only thing you might have missed was the spoiler[appearence of akutski (sp?)] i believe they showed two members from that group at the very very end with spoiler[one of the members being Sasuke's brother.]

Very good, actually. He's played by the amazing spoiler[Crispin Freeman!] P.S. The lady with Kakashi at the "end" was Yuugao, spoiler[Hayate's fiancee.] This really was never explained. |

Ah, so I see I'm not the only one who had this problem.
Well, even though it was only the last 5 or so minutes where not much really happens, it still cut off some of the best parts of the episode. Along with missing spoiler[the arrival of Itachi and the other Akatsuki guy (can't remember his name right now), which does piss me off considering I was looking forward to seeing the dub version of them most of all from this episode], we also missed spoiler[a really touching speech from Iruka about sacrifice and why Sarutobi did what he did, as well as the touching scenes of when each of the Konoha Genin place a flower on his grave and have flashbacks of all of the wonderful memories they each have with him.] These were all the scenes that I felt was what made this episode so great, and Cartoon Network had to go and screw it all up!!!! Thanks for nothing, CN!!!
Anyways, guess I'm just going to have to wait 2 weeks for them to show it again. I wish it was next week, but no, they have to go and show us a couple of movies that they have shown us about a million times already!! I must say, I am really starting to loose it with Toonami.
I'm telling you, it's a conspiracy!!!
